Maersk Investment Analysis (IA) plays a pivotal role in this journey – being the focal point and center of excellence for analysis of all future investments and divestments.
Our work cover a broad range of investment decisions within Maersk’s traditional assets such as ships and container terminals, but also with high focus on the growth journey within our wider landside logistics business – spanning both organic and inorganic growth.

A key part of our role is putting structure into our growth journey by developing tools and standards for the global finance and investment community at Maersk. Key responsibilities
- As an investment professional, you will work with multiple aspects of our Maersk Investment Practice, developing business cases, modelling investments, project management, project evaluation, developing best practices across the organization as well as preparing investment material for Executive Management.
- Collaboration is central to your role, working closely with stakeholders across all of our business, spanning Finance and Business Development teams in various Maersk brands, Executive Management, Decarbonization team, M&A and Strategy.
- Through cross-team cooperation we strive to cover all relevant perspectives of our many investment projects – ultimately ensuring a holistic view on profitability, cost, revenue, commercial and strategic fit.
- You will be reporting to the Head of Investment Analysis – being part of our strong team of investment experts with influence and involvement directly towards the Maersk CFO.
- Given the nature of a global company making investments across the world, there will be some opportunities for traveling.
What are we looking for
The ideal candidate is a professional with a few years of experience within the field of finance and/or investments. While a strong grasp of finance and business dynamics is vital, experience in valuation and financial modeling is a bonus. What matters most is your genuine interest and eagerness to learn to overtime become an expert in these fields.
- Beyond analytical prowess, a proactive attitude, relationship-building skills, and a talent for identifying opportunities are equally important.
- You are comfortable working autonomously and possess the ability to influence stakeholders through informal leadership.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial for collaborating with a diverse international team at all levels of the organization.
- The corporate language is English, so you should be fluent in oral as well as written English.
