About the team The position is in the Analytical Support and Development team in the department Virology and Raw Materials, which is part of CMC in Novo Nordisk, site Gentofte. In CMC API Development we bring new therapeutic products into clinical trials. The Analytical Support and Development team ensures high quality adventitious agent analysis with respect to virus and mycoplasma for product release of biopharmaceuticals. We are currently growing our competencies within mycoplasma and virus safety of stem cell therapies to support the Stem Cell R&D unit in Novo Nordisk. We emphasize a scientific approach in our work that is performed in multidisciplinary project groups in close collaboration with analytical- and process development, and international production facilities. We operate in a fast-changing environment, with an increasing level of automation and digitalization. Thus, a candidate with a curious mindset and a can-do attitude is exactly what we are looking for. The position As a Development Scientist in the Analytical Support and Development team: You will work closely with other experts to develop and manage virus safety strategies for Novo Nordisk research and development projects. You will provide support to stakeholders in relation to analytical strategies and contribute to cross-disciplinary project teams regarding virus safety. Further, the position offers a great opportunity to develop your scientific and project management skills. You will participate in development projects managed in the department; This will include design and development of cell-based assays, qPCR analyses and test strategies for viral safety of raw materials and stem cells. You will contribute to the daily coordination of our laboratory and ensure that we deliver high quality results in accordance with our timelines. You will be involved in cell bank testing, analytical assays, and other aspects of adventitious agent safety evaluation of biopharmaceuticals and ATMPs. Qualifications You hold as a minimum a M.Sc. degree in molecular biology, virology, microbiology or other relevant discipline - newly graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant experience or PhD is an advantage. Experience within NAT-based technologies, such as qPCR and RT-qPCR and/or cell based assays, is a requirement Experience with NGS is beneficial. It is considered an advantage to be an innovative individual with ability and experience within the areas of automation and digitalization. The ideal candidate has experience within the regulatory framework of virus, mycoplasma and TSE but it is not a requirement.
