Gubra is looking for a Laboratory Technician (Laborant) to support our formulation department working with physico-chemical characterization and formulations for our in-house drug discovery projects in transition into drug development.
The Formulation department supports our business by delivering high throughput physico-chemical characterization of novel peptide drug candidates for our internal and partnered drug discovery projects and early formulation development for our drug development projects. Furthermore, the department deliver all test compounds for in vivo pharmacology experiments for our Contract Research Organization (CRO) and our drug discovery projects. You will join an interdisciplinary team of 4 scientists and 6 laboratory technicians who collaborate across the whole value chain of drug discovery working closely together and with other departments.

The Formulation department supports our business by delivering high throughput physico-chemical characterization of novel peptide drug candidates for our internal and partnered drug discovery projects and early formulation development for our drug development projects. Furthermore, the department deliver all test compounds for in vivo pharmacology experiments for our Contract Research Organization (CRO) and our drug discovery projects. You will join an interdisciplinary team of 4 scientists and 6 laboratory technicians who collaborate across the whole value chain of drug discovery working closely together and with other departments.
As our new laboratory technician, your tasks will include:
- Perform physico-chemical stability and formulation development studies on late-stage drug discovery and early drug development projects using reverse phase and size exclusion UPLC, dynamic light scattering (DLS), fluorescence and UV-VIS plate readers.
- Conduct high throughput physico-chemical characterization of larger peptide drug libraries, including solubility, physical stability, and chemical stability for our early drug discovery programs.
- Support our CRO business and internal drug discovery projects with formulation of peptide and/or small molecule drug candidates for in vivo pharmacology experiments.
- Troubleshoot and optimize procedures for formulations of test compounds.
- Data processing and documentation.
Ideal candidate:
- You hold a certified laboratory technician diploma or similar.
- Have a genuine interest and work experience with formulation of peptides.
- Experience with stability studies and UPLC.
- Experience with automation of liquid handling (e.g. ViaFLOW, Biomek etc.)
- Great execution and collaboration skills.
- Effective communication skills in both Danish and English.
- Commitment to high quality data handling, documentation and reporting of data.
- Experience working in both a drug discovery and drug development setting is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Experience with LC-CAD, DLS and/or LC-MS is an advantage, but not a necessity.
