As a Senior Financial Analyst you will lead FP&A activities for regional SG&As, overseeing over $3.5 billion in global spending. You will be a trusted senior analyst providing insights to influence decision making. You’ll be a partner with HQ, Regions and GSC teams to ensure a single source of truthful SG&A information. You’ll guide all HQ Finance teams to drive a unified Global SG&A agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end financial planning and cost forecast for Maersk Regional Ocean and Logistics SG&A and productivity including risks and opportunities analysis
- Build financial transparency ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of their area of accountability
- Act as single source of truth for SG&A financials in the Regions
- Collaborate with HQ Functional Partnering Team to ensure single source of truth on global SG&A cost
- Challenge stakeholders to drive performance and advice on appropriate actions and options
- Lead cross-functional projects
- Partner with management teams to evaluate and track cost savings initiatives to achieve operational efficiencies and meet yearly target
- Work closely with the GSC ensuring changes to existing processes are clearly communicated and documented
- Manage immature business model and different business rhythm
- Challenge unrealistic financial planning based on business drivers, trends and alignment with strategy
- Lead process improvements to simplify, standardize and/or improvecurrent ways of working
- Build strong relationships with a broad range of finance and non-finance stakeholders
Our requirements:
- Master or Bachelor’ s degree in Business Administration or Finance
- 10+ years of finance experience in analytical positions within finance, management reporting, financial planning and analysis and/or strategy consultancy
- Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and/or any other analytics tool
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong logical and analytical capacity with high attention to details
- Collaboration across functions, teams and geographies
In addition:
- Self-starter that can manage projects without a lot of supervision and with a strong driving force, striving for continuous improvements
- Possesses strong business judgment and can frame issues in the context of the big picture
- Result driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deals well and enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment dealing with different tasks at the same time
- Excellent team player with ability to engage, influence, guide and challenge multiple stakeholders
- Strong ownership and accountability
