We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Maersk.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work closely with our Finance and Sales teams to deliver value-adding data solutions that accelerate growth while improving profitability.
Responsibilities:
You will collaborate with Finance and Sales teams to understand business objectives and identify data-driven opportunities to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
Key tasks:
- Analyze large datasets and perform complex data analysis to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and implement data models, dashboards, and reports using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, or similar tools to visualize and communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales performance, margins, and other relevant metrics to provide recommendations for automation, efficiencies, optimization, and profitability improvement.
- Provide data driven insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data from various sources, such as ERP systems, CRM systems and external sources, to support data-driven decision-making.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of business intelligence and analytics, and apply them to optimize and improve data solutions.
Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will hold a Master degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field, combined with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, finance planning or related roles, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
You have proficiency in DAX, SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar tools, experience with data manipulation and analysis using programming languages such as Python, Scala or R is a plus
You have strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of statistical concepts and data modeling techniques.
Furthermore you have:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities from complex datasets and provide clear and meaningful recommendations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
