Organic Chemistry Scientist with equipment flair Are you experienced in working with organic chemistry, and do you have flair for working with equipment, perhaps with a background as a mechanical engineer or similar? If yes, then you might be the new organic chemistry scientist we are looking for! Do you thrive in an environment where you get to be a key member in running our new Pilot Plant? If yes, you can now be a part of a Manufacturing Development department, were there isn’t long from idea to action. You will be involved in our GMP campaign productions, non-GMP experiments and laboratory experiments, both for new products and optimisation of current products, facility and equipment. The position We offer an exciting position where you will play a key role in our Pilot Plant, as a supporter and equipment responsible when we are running campaigns. This will range from supporting the laboratory technicians, writing protocols and reports, writing deviations and change requests, and collaborating with our stakeholders to improve our processes. Outside campaign production, you will be supporting non-GMP experiments and other optimisations in our Pilot Plant and laboratory. In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will: Have the main responsibility for the equipment in the pilot plant, e.g. give input when changes are needed and help troubleshooting Ensure the equipment needed and assess the need for maintenance Evaluate and report data in a structured and understandable way Plan and conduct experiments or production in our Pilot Plant together with our laboratory technicians Build and maintain good relations with a wide range of stakeholders including production teams, Quality Assurance, Research, analytical teams, customers and project groups. Drive new products and ensuring expert support to existing products Qualifications To succeed in this position, you have: A master- or bachelor degree in Science or Engineering e.g., biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent Experience with equipment in production or Pilot Plant facilities 2-3 years’ experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Experience in dealing with deviations and change requests is an advantage Understanding data, able to work with and visualize data As a person, we imagine that you are a team player with a proactive mindset, with flair for equipment and curious to find the good solutions when working in a Pilot Plant. You have good attention to detail and are conscious of working in a safe environment. With a 'can do' attitude, you are able to cope with changes and embrace learnings. About the department The Manufacturing Development department at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech in Køge comprises 38 dedicated employees across three teams. As a Development Scientist, you will be part of a team of 7 laboratory technicians and 2 scientists, focusing on developing and supplying novel materials for therapeutic protein manufacturing in the biopharmaceutical industry.
