The position
We are seeking a principal laboratory technician, or alternatively, a wet lab-based research associate to join us as we expand our mRNA production capabilities to support research within mRNA therapeutics including gene editing. The ideal candidate has experience and background with RNA biology, molecular biology, and implementation of automated workflows. As part of the department of RNA Technologies you will be part of a growing team with the purpose of discovery and development of RNA based therapeutics.
Primary tasks: Expanding our RNA capabilities and subsequent support of those going forward, as well as development of future capabilities that become needed – this includes participation in developing automated workflows Research scale enzymatic production of RNA and characterisation of RNA
Qualifications
To qualify for the position, we imagine that you: Have hands-on experience working with RNA and general molecular biology techniques, such as in vitro transcription, cloning, qPCR, as well as sequencing Have a demonstrated experience with implementation of automated workflows including programming of liquid handler systems Experience with HPLC techniques is also appreciated

RNA Technologies is a young department with a purpose of enabling future development of RNA and gene therapies. The department is a part of the RNA and Gene Therapies area which belong to the Global Research Technologies area at Novo Nordisk. We are developing curative and disease modifying therapies for individuals living with serious chronic conditions, spearheaded via co-creational innovation with external partners. Treatment of disease mechanisms operating inside cells, including gene expression is enabled by emerging intracellular drug modalities. Using state of the art technologies, we are building genome editing and RNA capabilities, and establishing viral and non-viral drug delivery platforms, to enable disease-specific design of impactful drugs.
