The position We are seeking a highly skilled and diverse candidate for the position of Project Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our teams with standardized and timely planning and execution of projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for project management, internal and external stakeholder management, and cross-functional cooperation. You will be expected to lead demanding management activities, standardize implementation cycles, manage financial reporting, and advocate quality assurance processes. Your key areas of responsibility will be: Collaborating with teams to set up charters, project plans, financial plans, and resource onboarding to ensure a successful kick-off. Streamline implementation cycles by providing support with planning, managing, and reporting on resources, timelines, risks, and budget for projects and initiatives. Documenting task assignments, tracking progress, organizing meetings, and ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and resources to deliver quality results. Advocate for quality assurance processes and develop project management business processes and tools. To standardize risk management practices, maintain the risk register, and document the status and outcomes of risk and issue closures. Managing financial reporting and submissions, including third-party contract reviews and follow-ups. Manage timelines, track resource activities, identify delays, provide status updates, and ensure the team is focused on the right tasks. Manage team on-boarding/off-boarding processes and maintain an updated project team members list. To demonstrate and support diversity and inclusion practices. Ensuring project/initiative objectives and outcomes are aligned with the needs and priorities of stakeholders and providing support with vendor management in sourcing and contracts. Maintain close relationships with stakeholders and proactively plan and execute stakeholder engagement. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have: Master’s degree combined with relevant working experience and a minimum of 3 - 5 years of project management experience (IT projects or scientific projects). Experience with Project Management software, PMI/PMP or Agile, or equivalent formal Project management/ Agile certificate is a must. A background from pharma, life science, or biotech is desirable. About the department Data Science and Innovation (DSI) is supporting the digital transformation journey across all our therapy areas in R&ED. The DSI vision is to amplify and accelerate our science through innovative use of data, digital tools, and computational approaches. Our current focus in DSI is to generate and showcase business value – based on addressing specific scientific questions and processes in a “digital-first” approach – while building the digital foundation to deliver our ambitions by scaling data, digital tools, and computational approaches across R&ED.
