The position You will be part of integrating and bridging scientific ideation and innovation initiatives across Global Drug Development (GDD) and Research & Early development (R&ED) to strengthen and diversify Novo Nordisk early drug pipeline and leverage our global footprint in close collaboration with key stakeholders across GDD and R&ED. You will have full ownership of your end deliverables and the relationship to your stakeholders, but at the same time be able to spare with knowledgeable colleagues to secure progress. You will report to the Head of Scientific Integration and the key focus will be on facilitating the extraction of tangible outcomes from our early innovation initiatives pursued in strategic partnerships with academia and biotech with the potential to deliver pipeline assets, biological understanding and technological capabilities. Your areas of responsibility will be: Drive design of, facilitate and execute R&ED innovation or GDD Scientific Integration projects and initiatives with input across the value chain. Drive deep scientific value optimising analysis of our external engagement within strategic focus areas. Drive design of and support digital solution to facilitate cross-R&ED transparency and interaction with early research activities and innovation initiatives. Organise and facilitate scientific workshops and seminars. Facilitate cross R&ED communication of Scientific integration activities e.g., newsletters and digital solutions in collaboration with GDD & R&ED communication and Digital Science and Innovation. Qualifications You hold a master’s degree supplemented with a PhD, preferably within the Life Science field, and have 3+ years of project management experience leading cross-organizational projects. You possess experience in the pharmaceutical, life science, or biotech industry and/or a deep understanding of the R&D value chain. Furthermore, you have a strong, broad scientific insight spanning both technological and biological disciplines. In addition to succeeding in the role you: Demonstrated ability to drive processes and projects from idea to implementation. Have Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Flair and experience with IT process management and communication tools like JIRA and Microsoft SharePoint, teams, and whiteboards. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential As a person, you are ambitious, able to build trusting relationships, and able to efficiently facilitate and negotiate to ensure the right compromises are made. You have superior analytical & problem-solving skills and the ambition to understand complex biological systems. You have the big picture in mind and are strongly motivated to explore new ideas and methods in driving innovation for the benefit of our patients. You are a strong communicator, both written and verbal, and you are capable of structuring and story-lining complex topics in a simple way to facilitate efficient decision-making. You work systematically, are eminent at motivating people around you. About the department Scientific Integration is part of Early Innovation, Outreach & Alliances and work to strengthen and diversify Novo Nordisk early drug pipeline by integrating and bridging scientific ideation and innovation initiatives across Research & Early development (R&ED) and therapy areas as well as external opportunities to internal ideation to maximize value and extract synergies and foster scientific excellence.
