As a laboratory technician at our organization, you will work as a part of multidisciplinary project teams and conduct experimental work in the laboratories under guidance or independently. Your responsibilities will include planning, performing, evaluating, and carefully documenting your work in close collaboration with associated scientists. You will be part of a highly specialized group of laboratory technicians and scientists who are responsible for cell clone evaluation, developing next-generation processes and fast product delivery. Our team works towards delivering next-generation production processes that help to provide medicines for individuals living with chronic diseases. About the department Cultivation Technologies is a department within the multidisciplinary area of Recombinant Technologies, which specializes in providing the necessary technologies for the discovery and development of biological medicines used to treat diabetes, rare blood diseases, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and other related conditions. Our department is comprised of 12 laboratory technicians and 9 scientists who are responsible for selecting and characterizing new cell lines, developing media, and initiating new process development for drug candidates. We also produce proteins and peptides for preclinical testing in a non-GMP setting, using state-of-the-art equipment to cultivate various expression hosts of both mammalian and microbial origins, as well as primary recovery technologies. Our work is carried out in close collaboration with other departments within Recombinant Technologies and other constituent areas within Global Research Technologies. Qualifications You are educated as a laboratory technician and have a background in cell cultivation. As a person you are organized, proactive and agile. You strive to continuously improve workflows within the department and towards our key collaborators.
Additionally, having experience in the following areas would be advantageous: Programming and automation Knowledge within state-of-the art cultivation equipment Experience with continuous cultivation and perfusion cell culture Analytical methods such as HPLC and LC-MS Primary recovery technologies Documentation
Depending on experience, the position will be scored either as a Senior laboratory technician or Laboratory technician.
