The position In Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. As Manager you will report to the Vice Presidents (VP) of Trial Data Management and be a member of the Trial Data Management VP leadership team. You will be overall responsible for managing and leading a team of highly engaged data managers. Together with your counterpart in Denmark and in India, you will be directing the data management deliverables within the Rare Disease and Advanced Therapies area; including: Motivating and securing competency development of the team members. Ensuring quality in the work, continuous improvements of the team and process development will be essential in the job.
Being responsible for the department budget
Work in close collaboration with the leaders for the other Trial Data Management teams and with our stakeholders.
It is important that you are capable of challenging and improving current processes and are embracing new methods and working styles. Through empowerment you are utilising the full potential of the employees in both the department and Trial Data Management as an area. Your workplace will be in Søborg and travel abroad could be expected 1-2 times per year. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have: Either strong track record of line management combined with innovation and change management, or you have knowledge of data management combined with significant management talent and a keen interest in driving innovation.
Several years of experience as project or line manager and preferably knowledge of drug development and knowledge of the data management deliveries in a R&D organisation within the pharmaceutical industry.
Background supervising and mentoring of staff.
Experience with working in international and diverse professional groups.
Naturally, you set direction, lead and motivate your team and have strong stakeholder management capabilities. As a person you strive with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities. You are not afraid of working risk-based and have the courage and curiosity to try out different solutions to daily operations and challenge the already established processes. You have excellent collaboration and communication skills; you can collaborate at any organisational level and are fluent in English. About the department The Trial Data Management function consists of five departments in Denmark, five departments in India and one department in US, and is part of the Novo Nordisk Development area. We are responsible for ensuring data integrity and for the timely flow of data through the many systems we use for collecting clinical trial data, conforming to regulatory requirements and industry-standards. Trial Data Management delivers high quality data for further analysis and reporting and work with stakeholders across many functions, both within and outside Development and we are an essential part of clinical drug development in Novo Nordisk.
