Then you might be the candidate we are looking for as a Department Manager in Oral Delivery Technologies. The positionYou will be responsible for managing and developing a team of highly engaged scientists and lab technicians, who are focusing on analysis, characterisation and digitalisation efforts within Oral Delivery Technologies. Your responsibilities include driving innovation and generation of new project ideas in relation to oral delivery technologies, alignment with stakeholders in the R&D organisation in addition to setting the strategic direction and business targets for the department, developing people, and ensuring an inspiring and motivating working environment.You will become part of a vibrant and dedicated management team where you will help set the direction for the Oral Delivery Technology section within the Biophysics and Formulation area. You will work to ensure flexible allocation of resources consistent with overall R&D priorities while keeping an eye on longer-term goals.QualificationsYou hold a Ph.D. in natural sciences or life sciences and have at least 5 years of postdoctoral experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or academia. The preferred candidate has a proven track record in oral biologics delivery as demonstrated by publications/patents and an international network within the field.You have at least 2 years of people management experience and demonstrated strong leadership qualities. You display excellent collaboration and communication skills and an evident commitment to creating winning teams with a focus on continuous people development. You have a proactive and visible leadership style and the ability to set a clear direction in a complex environment. You display a high level of personal engagement, drive, independence and integrity.About the departmentThe department consists of 10 highly skilled employees divided into 8 scientists at all levels and seniority and 2 experienced lab technicians. The department constitutes together with two other oral departments the section called Oral Delivery Technologies within the CVP area Biophysics and Formulation. The CVP area is a central part of Global Research Technologies located in Måløv, Copenhagen area, Denmark. The CVP area is responsible for biophysical screening and early oral and injectable formulation development of peptide and protein compounds and other modalities across the entire Novo Nordisk research portfolio.
