The Position As the Head of Clinical Operations Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and overseeing the execution of clinical trials and operational activities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure the successful delivery of clinical programs, in alignment with regulatory standards and company objectives. Some of the key accountabilities of the Head of Clinical Operations Excellence Leading a team of Clinical Trial Excellence functions specialising in Clinical Quality, Training, Innovation, and Implementation, and planning their personal & professional development
Developing and executing the clinical quality and effectiveness short- and long-term CDC plans in close cooperation with the CDC Head
Setting and monitoring of clinical quality and effectiveness performance targets in close cooperation with the CDC Head
Managing of process improvements and implementation at the CDC level
Ongoing monitoring of the efficiency progresses in conducting clinical trials in CDC
Securing timely implementation and cementing of process and digital changes within Clinical teams
Initiating change aiming at continuous improvement of the clinical trial processes and practices
Creating the empowerment culture in the team and developing necessary competencies
Representing CDC in cross functional project groups at regional/IO/global levels
Participating in and making an effective contribution to across clinical organisation
Qualifications The team is newly established team, and you will play a vital role in structuring and aligning the team which consist of highly skilled employees. Min. two years of leadership experience
Master's degree in science or relevant fields
Demonstrated solid experience in people management within clinical operations
Proven track record in clinical trial execution in multifunctional teams, including clinical quality (audits and inspections) and training
Professional proficiency in English and Danish
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in clinical operations/clinical trials execution in pharmaceutical industry or Clinical Research Organisation
Strong track record in clinical trial execution in multifunctional team at country level, including clinical quality (audits and inspections) and training
As a team leader, you should be driven by the openness to learning and change and a penchant for seeking out new experiences and knowledge. Moreover, conceptual, and strategic approach to the clinical organisation development will help you to succeed in this role. You should be a team player who emanates Novo Nordisk’s culture, and with a high focus on trust, empowerment, and ownership. You are expected to have the ability to be present in the office on a regular basis. About the Department The Clinical Development Centre Denmark is one of the biggest clinical organisations within Novo Nordisk North West Europe. We are currently evolving as we are entering new therapy areas and broadening our portfolio of the clinical trials. CDC Denmark as project-centric organisation becomes the backbone in clinical trials for all Therapy Areas, while leading across seven countries, as well as Denmark. Together with our colleagues across the value chain in Head Quarter (HQ) and adjacent affiliates, we ensure through scientific evidence that we can provide safe and efficacious treatment to people living with diabetes and other chronic diseases.
