International Medical Doctor position open within our Diabetes clinical development area in Novo Nordisk Are you a Medical Doctor (MD), Ph.D., with solid industry experience, curious about the opportunities at Novo Nordisk? Or are you with substantial clinical and research experience – ideally within diabetes looking for new challenges? Then, please take a look at this opportunity within our Diabetes area! The position Right now, we are searching for a new passionate colleague to drive a development program as medical specialist expert, responsible for the medical strategic direction of innovative drug development solutions for a phase II/III programme. In addition, you will be responsible for Medical & Science input with a seat in a Global Project Team (GPT), thereby influencing overall project plans and -strategies, and you will be heavily involved in regulatory interactions. MDs are working at the very heart of our business in Novo Nordisk. As an MD, you are involved in developing new therapies for life-threatening diseases, designing clinical trials, evaluating our medicines' safety, and being part of the drug submission and approval processes with health authorities globally. In addition, MDs have the critical task of sharing and discussing new insights with physicians and top researchers worldwide. In short, MDs at Novo Nordisk play a crucial role in all the different stages of Novo Nordisk's clinical drug development.
In Medical & Science Diabetes, MDs are medically and scientifically responsible for the clinical trial programs and all other clinically related activities. You will lead in designing clinical trials, provide medical oversight in the trial conduct phase, interpret and document trial results, and support submissions to health authorities. You will also have a key role as author for publications of clinical trial data, as well as engaging in interaction with scientific experts and health authorities to achieve the best possible clinical development programs. The workplace is our office buildings in Søborg, but we can also offer flexible working. We also support with a mobility package when moving from your home country.
Qualifications MD with documented clinical and scientific expertise, preferably within the therapy area, As a minimum expert knowledge within therapeutic area or drug development process, 5+ years of experience Experience with meetings with regulatory authorities/scientific advisory meetings Acted as a supervisor in the pharmaceutical industry or academia, and capacity and willingness to mentor colleagues Substantial experience with strategic and scientific planning aspects of clinical development within the pharmaceutical industry In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the drug development life cycle Strong experience with cross-functional, cross-national teams and management of multi-national teams Thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical business International assignment in pharmaceutical business an advantage The job function requires a high degree of independence, and decisions taken have a high degree of business impact. Responsibility covers clinical drug development worldwide and alignment with CMR organization is essential. In addition, the job requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders within Novo Nordisk's global organization and countries all over the globe. As a person, we expect you to be able and willing to adjust quickly to new situations in a continuously developing environment. Ideally, it would be best if you had a team-oriented personality with a high degree of flexibility and cross-cultural awareness. English is a working language; therefore, fluency in speaking and writing in English is mandatory. It will be an advantage if you are a proactive mindset, are action-oriented, self-aware, and well-balanced
