We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Anonymisation Lead to join our team and help us become a global healthcare leader powered by data, analytics, and digital technologies. As a Data Anonymisation Lead, you will play a critical role in building our state-of-the-art data insights platform, FounData, and developing outcomes and solutions that will transform the way we operate. You'll work alongside top talent in the industry and make a significant impact on the way we develop new medicines, improve quality, and create value for Novo Nordisk Development and Novo Nordisk at large.  
The position The FounData program is a new R&D data insights initiative designed to enhance data storage, curation/handling, analysis, and visualizations relevant to the entire organization. This initiative is set to revolutionize the way we use data in decision-making by enabling data availability from a one-stop clinical data shop. To achieve this, we require robust data pipelines and data models across various data modalities. The program is anchored within Data Science in the Development organization in Novo Nordisk (NN), and we aim to create a solution that spans the value chain. As a Data Anonymisation Lead, you will play a vital role in defining and applying standards for data anonymisation for the FounData platform. Your primary responsibility will be to define data anonymisation standards and ensure adherence by various stakeholder groups (e.g., data engineers, end users, etc.) as they consume clinical and other data types via FounData. You will work within a team of data engineers and stewards who own data products to define the platform and data requirements, ensuring FounData is scalable, secure and compliant. As FounData evolves, anonymisation processes will need to be defined and implemented for broader data types. Other duties will include:
  • Plan and participate in programming and quality control of data verification and data anonymisation activities

  • Define and apply the Novo Nordisk standards for data anonymisation and escalate non-conformance with these standards

  • Design a scalable framework for data anonymisation across all FounData systems and own the technical and organizational implementation

  • Enable data and software engineering to implement data anonymisation in platforms and data pipelines

  • Monitor and document data privacy, ensuring that studies have been correctly anonymised and complexities of studies, e.g., parent/child linkages, have been correctly implemented in anonymisation

  • Ensure the data platform is scalable, secure, and compliant with all applicable regulations and standards

  • Qualifications
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree – within Biostatistics, computer science, information technology or similar

  • 5+ years of experience in anonymisation approaches

  • 3+ years of experience in anonymisation approaches preferably with clinical data; experience with broader data types is a plus (e.g., RWD, omics, digital health, etc.)

  • Expertise in clinical data standards (and experience in the application of CDISC)

  • Experience with scripting languages, and configuration management tools, automation, and large language models is preferred

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills as well as experience working in an agile setup (e.g., Scrum)

    About the department You will join the growing Data Insights team anchored in Data Management (Development) with 300+ employees – across Denmark, India, Spain and North America, delivering to the wide Novo Nordisk Development pipeline.
