The position
As a Portfolio Manager under Development External Innovation (DEI), you will drive portfolio analyses that support decision making of strategic fit of external opportunities during the due diligence process. Your responsibilities will be to:
  • Develop & maintain DEI internal Power BI Dashboards & DEI portfolio views in our enterprise portfolio management system

  • Own the dashboards’ data quality, interpretation, and visualization requirements

  • Develop automated and/or system connection enabling data loading modules

  • Support the Development on ad-hoc external portfolio visualizations & reporting requests

  • Moreover, you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the established processes, metrics and models, based on feedback from key stakeholders. In addition, as Portfolio Manager, you will identify new data-driven business insights based on data analysis, present business optimisation opportunities and run smaller projects. Since this position is a new role in the team, you will have the opportunity to impact and develop the role together with the Director. Qualifications Your qualifications include:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field in combination with around 2 years of work experience, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience in working with structuring and communicating strategically important data and a track record to prove it

  • Solid communication skills with the ability to effectively structure material to allow easy decision-making

  • Experience with collaboration across functions and organisational levels, including experience in interacting with senior leadership

  • Solid analytical skills, experience with Power BI, and a strategic mindset

  • Preferably, the above qualifications are supported by a scientific understanding

About the department The department “Development External Innovation” is newly formed in the “Development EVP area”. The department supports the company with internalising external innovation covering all attributes constituting the final pharmaceutical treatment solution. The support involves: Innovation, assessments, due diligence, integration, and alliance management.
