About the department The small and dedicated commercial team leads commercial efforts, partners with key stakeholders in cell therapy R&D, Product Supply and Operations and engage in the internal and external ecosystem around regenerative medicine with a focus on delivering transformative cell therapies to patients at biotech speed and with pharma quality. The position The Project Director for Cell Therapy Commercialisation is responsible for shaping and executing on the commercialisation roadmap to bring stem cell based therapies to patients in a sustainable business model. Collaborate with key markets to ensure optimal entry and development throughout the entire Novo Nordisk Value Chain, encompassing Research and Development (RD), Product Strategy (PS), and Commercial domains. Drive operational preparedness for the execution of development, entry, and strategy initiatives. Provide support across the Novo Nordisk value chain, leveraging expertise and know-how, while fostering strong collaboration across the organization. Furthermore, key areas of responsibility include:
  • Drives commercialisation roadmap across value chain through robust strategies and strong tactical initiatives both globally and in local markets, with special focus on Chronic Heart Failure
  • Leads the cross-functional commercial team to prepare the product for the market in order to maximise success at launch
  • Follow up and secure alignment in budget for internal projects and external partnerships
  • Work with and identify commercial and non-commercial partners/partnerships and provide business cases and manage these partnerships
  • Drive platform projects relevant across the cell therapy portfolio
  • Qualifications
  • Has 8 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Significant proven experience in early commercialisation, portfolio strategy (both short- and long-term) and track record of successful major global projects that cut across the value chain in collaboration with external partners
  • Advocacy, communication skills and ability to set vision and execute on plans.
  • Proven track record of planning and leading complex and cross functional projects within a commercial function.
  • Experience working with R&D, marketing, pharmaceutical products, or medical devices. Preferably international exposure in a large organisation.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, being able to see opportunities, and develop a plan to seize them.
  • As a person, you have strong leadership and interpersonal skills. You have strong personal drive and dedication. You are assertive and able to ensure progress in a difficult stakeholder landscape. You are a strong communicator and are fluent in English.
