What you’ll do

At Plecto, our Business Development Representatives are pivotal to our company’s success. Through cold outreach via phone, email and Linkedin, you will primarily be in charge of starting the initial contact with clients, qualifying and nurturing leads and booking sales appointments.

The BDR role is the stepping stone of your fast accelerating sales career in Plecto! We grow at a rapid pace, and we want you to grow with us - both professionally and personally. With good efforts and results, our aim is to promote you to Account Executive after your first year with us. But it wont stop there, what's next is up to you!. Do you want to be an enterprise sales specialist? Go into management? Help us open new offices and break into new markets? Or maybe transition to a completely different role within Plecto. For the right candidate with the right results, anything will be possible.

  • Be a key team member of the sales team, driving new business opportunities
  • Use innovative prospecting into both cold accounts as well as into existing/previous contacts. We have both tools and colleagues who will assist you with prospecting
  • Starting initial contact via phone, email and Linkedin
  • Qualifying leads and building value through intelligent questions, active listening and objection handling
  • Align expectations and outline the sales process with the prospect
  • Book demos/business meetings with key stakeholders and decision makers
  • Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account information of prospects in our CRM (Salesforce)
  • Be motivated to overachieve on targets and metrics

What we are looking for

You possess a growth mindset, you’re eager to constantly learn and develop, and you dare challenge current ways of thinking. You are a real go-getter with a high drive and high ambitions. Below is some of what we look for in an ideal candidate. And don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes yet; experience is nice, but we value mindset and attitude much higher! Skills can be learned, and we have great onboarding, continuous training and friendly colleagues who can help you do just that!

  • Passion to kick-start or continue a career in consultative sales
  • Have ambitions about growing both professionally and personally
  • Previous outbound sales experience, preferably within tech/SaaS
  • A “can do” / “Winner” attitude, with a hunger to overachieve and succeed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent listening skills
  • Accountability, self-initiation and creative-thinking
  • You have a relevant educational background and a strong commercial understanding.
  • Fluent in written and verbal english (any other language is a bonus)
  • A great and friendly colleague
