With direct reference to our Team Lead, you will become a part of our System Software department, which consists of experienced and dedicated Developers, Testers and Architects. Together we are responsible for ensuring that we deliver innovative products of a high quality, and that we help our customers transform meter data into insights that will help optimize the production and distribution of energy and water worldwide. In the department, we strive to constantly develop ourselves in order to prepare for the challenges of the future.
A job with focus on quality assurance through testing
As our new Software Test Engineer you will be facilitating and supporting projects cross-functionally and be deeply involved in identifying, implementing and maintaining systems for test applications. You will be responsible for the development and support of our software test system and the surrounding instrumentation and interfaces. In order to create a foundation for the quality of our solutions, you will use your expertise within manual and automated testing.
Furthermore, your key responsibilities are:
• Driving and improving the automation test strategy
• Creating software tools and processes to streamline testing and reporting
• Participating in projects where you are responsible for finding and implementing test requirements into the framework
• Test design, planning and execution, primarily on integration- and system level
• Specification, review, follow-up and status of automated tests
Personality matters
We are looking for a passionate Software Test Engineer, who can use his/hers experience in developing a solid foundation for the quality of our solutions. We imagine that you hold a bachelor’s degree within Science, Engineering or similar, combined with at least 2 years of experience within software development. Based on your experience in software development you have gained a great interest and passion for test automation and tooling in which you wish to further expand your skillset.
Furthermore, it is a requirement that you have experience with:
• C# and .NET Core/Framework
• MSSQL
• Microservice architecture
• Continuous delivery / Continuous integration (GitLab)
As a person you are open, outgoing and excel at stake-holder management and coordination. You place high demands on yourself and others, hence you do not compromise on the quality of your work and pride yourself in your eye for detail. Your approach to your work can be characterized as structured, systematic and analytical, while also having the ability to drive things forward and create change. As you will be testing others work, it is important you are robust and able to ensure that we deliver according to our promises to our customers.
You are fluent in English, both written and oral.
