As Demant continues to grow and the digital footprint expands in all areas of the business, the task of developing the global IT vendors in Demant gets bigger and more complex. Our technology development and budget constraints provide the need for an even more business orientated approach toward strategic vendor management and investment decisions in Global IT. Because of that, we are looking for a new Vendor and Contract Manager who can enable us to mature, streamline and develop the profession across Global IT.
Join team IT Management Office and support the development of Global IT
You will be joining our Global IT organisation which has more than 500 employees with main hubs in Denmark, Poland, US, and the Asia Pacific region. You will be a part of team IT Management Office; we are supporting our CIO and IT Management with Executive Support, Communications, IT Finance and Analytics, Project and Portfolio Management and Vendor and Contract Management. As a team we support Global IT as an organisation. We appreciate each other, psychological safety, and cross-collaboration between the areas.
You can look forward to the following responsibilities
Our aspirations are high, and we need your help to develop the profession and to run the daily vendor and contract operations. In short:
Vendor Management and IT Procurement
Contract Management
Also, we expect you to be updated on standards, policies, and processes on Risk & Compliance and to participate in external audits as required.
You will be reporting to Senior Director of the IT Management Office. Your most important stakeholders will be our CIO, IT managers and Group Service Procurement.
You are one step ahead, and you apply a strategic mindset with a hands-on mentality
It is essential that you get motivated for taking responsibility for development projects as well as various supportive, operational, and administrative tasks. You must thrive working within the span between internal delivery organization and external vendor relations – in a complex global organization.
You have a commercial mindset, and you exceed in establishing relations and networking. As a person, you are one step ahead, and you apply a strategic mindset with a hands-on mentality.
The qualified applicant is expected to have the following qualifications
We appreciate if you have several years of experience working experience with IT vendor and contract management maybe combined with a degree in Business and Economics. However, there can be many ways into this job.

You can look forward to the following responsibilities

- Strengthen and simplify governance, guidelines, processes, templates and standards
- Represent large negotiations of new contracts – software, hardware and service
- Daily processing of smaller contracts and administration
- Facilitate stakeholder management and communication across Global IT
- Optimize the vendor relations and contract portfolio continuously
Vendor Management and IT Procurement
- Consolidate the needs for external services and review with IT Management
- Facilitate IT vendor negotiations and tenders with Procurement and IT Managers
- Define vendor performance metrics and report on regular basis
- Development a long-term strategy for sourcing IT services in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure inspiration, leverage possibilities and best practice sharing
Contract Management
- Oversee negotiations on selected larger contract renewals and contract changes
- Establish and process various contracts at ad hoc basis
- Ensure legal review of new contracts in collaboration with legal department
- Facilitate issue and dispute management
- Ensure contract lifecycle including renewals, consolidations and adjustments
Also, we expect you to be updated on standards, policies, and processes on Risk & Compliance and to participate in external audits as required.
