If so, this is your chance to make a significant impact. As the Digital Sustainability Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that DD&IT understands its environmental impact and leads the charge in achieving our company targets of becoming Net Zero no later than 2045.
What to expect
As the Digital Sustainability Lead, you will spearhead and coordinate efforts to reach our company-wide target of becoming Net Zero no later than 2045. This will involve driving the sustainability agenda across the DD&IT area, developing and tracking strategies that align with corporate targets, managing sustainability projects, and ensuring transparent reporting on progress. You'll also work to promote circular economy practices, engage in cross-organizational projects, create engaging internal content, educate employees, and position DD&IT as a sustainability leader through external partnerships and best practices.Working closely with your colleagues in the DD&IT Strategy & Transformation Team, you will be a key contributor to driving the team performance towards great results while maintaining a good team spirit and a high level of professional passion.
What we look for
We are looking for a candidate who is truly passionate about environmental sustainability and possesses expertise in the field between environmental sustainability and technology. In addition, you should bring a broad understanding of sustainability trends and opportunities and know how to apply them to a modern digital, data, and IT landscape.
On top of that, we hope that you can tick off most of the following:
• 3-5 years of experience from working with sustainability and IT
• Knowledge about scope 1,2 and 3 emissions and ability to calculate emissions according to global standards (e.g., Greenhouse Gas Protocol GhG)
• Knowledge within sustainability issues and challenges – and how to overcome them
• Knowledge of a Digital, Data, and IT estate and the sustainability opportunities associated with that
• Knowledge about Circular Economy and how to apply it in a technology context
• Demonstrated ability to drive sustainability projects in a global context
• The ability to solve problems in new and innovative ways, move forward with ideas and overcome roadblocks to push it through
• Stakeholder & change management experience on a senior level in large organisations and ability to communicate clearlyFluency in written and oral English is a prerequisite for this position since it is the corporate language at Novo Nordisk.

The DD&IT Strategy & Transformation Team is anchored within the CIO Office and reports to the Corporate Vice President. The department currently consists of 4 highly skilled and dedicated consultants, of which all are based at our headquarter offices in Bagsværd, DK. We bring different educational and professional perspectives to the work we do.
