That is why we are looking for a new colleague to take the position of Communication Officer at NLMK DanSteel in Frederiksværk, Denmark.
About the job
You will drive the communication agenda at NLMK DanSteel in corporation with your communication colleagues from NLMK Europe and NLMK DanSteel Head of HR & Communication. This is a position that covers the entire communication palette from A to Z, both internal and external communication. There will also be cooperation with external consultants / specialists / suppliers helping us with communication tasks.
Main tasks as a Communications Officer at NLMK DanSteel:
About you and your strong profile
The right candidate have minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in PR / communications and holds a bachelor or master’s degree in Communication. It may also be that you are educated journalist.
We emphasize that you can work independently and take responsibility for initiated activities. You have a creative mindset and are open to challenges.
Our team
You will be part of an international communication team of 4 employees that are based in Belgium and Denmark. You will report to the Head of HR & Communication at NLMK DanSteel, but also have a functional / professional reference to the NLMK Europe Communication Manager.
We appreciate an informal social interaction and a good relationship in a workplace where everyone is invited to take an extra turn when needed.
On the other hand, we benefit from good employment conditions; a thorough introduction, job training and continuing education are of course part of the package, which also contains other attractive staff benefits.

About the job
You will drive the communication agenda at NLMK DanSteel in corporation with your communication colleagues from NLMK Europe and NLMK DanSteel Head of HR & Communication. This is a position that covers the entire communication palette from A to Z, both internal and external communication. Main tasks as a Communications Officer at NLMK DanSteel:
- Corporate Communication
- Support the strategy EU + deploy it locally, included communication strategy.
- Support EU team to manage crisis communications e.g.: statements, FAQ etc.
- Support the Group requests: reports, etc.
- Support for presentations.
- Participate to different meetings with EU team, marketing, HR team etc.
- Internal communication
- Manage the internal magazine: articles, interviews, layout, network, (digital through Issuu and print).
- Manage local screens: layout, content (Scala platform).
- Develop new channels with EU team (Intranet).
- Support / Advice managers: speech, presentation.
- Organize events / meetings.
- Communication focused on HR
- Support the onboarding process: platform, job-fair merchandise, job fair organization.
- Support the EU team on employer branding activities.
- Support Employees survey.
- Manage the NLMK DanSteel career website.
- Communication focused on transformation
- About our investment program.
- Support the deployment of the Green strategy.
- About our strategic projects: Safety, quality, NLMK Production system: posters, leaflets etc.
- External communication
- Manage press requests: statement, press release etc.
- Contribute to social media posts focused NLMK DanSteel.
- Manage videos.
- Management of video portraits of our employees at NLMK DanSteel together with the EU team: writing of scripts, shooting, follow-up with external supplier.
- Produce local videos.
- Support the team about EU website: local section.
About you and your strong profile
The right candidate have minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in PR / communications and holds a bachelor or master’s degree in Communication. It may also be that you are educated journalist.
- Your communication skills (verbal and written) are excellent in Danish and English.
- You know how to use image and video editing tools (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and can take and edit photos.
- You know how mass media operate or even have experience of working for the media.
- You know how social media operate.
