The Position As a Commercial Excellence Specialist, you will work closely with the Frontline Functions (Sales & Medical), Marketing, Business Information and Customer Insights to help define and implement a relevant segmentation & targeting model. You will be leading and designing the process for the Frontline Incentive Scheme. Our Frontline Functions are essential to the well-being of patients throughout International Operations (IO) and the success of Novo Nordisk. You will contribute to the Global Finance Vision and Strategy to continue having the best finance operation in the global pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, as a Commercial Excellence Specialist, you will:
  • Oversee segmentation and targeting, by validating data, supervising roll-out to sales and ensuring integration with sales processes (account planning and activity planning).
  • Manage activity planning, accordingly, making sure that it is handled promptly through our CRM system and in accordance with a lean high-quality process.
  • Ensure alignment of our Short-Term Incentive Scheme, whereupon you’ll implement a lean process for stakeholders, and design it to drive required focus and behaviours.
  • You will be in charge of providing continuous training and cross-functional induction together with your team.
  • Support change management and be a local change agent for new ways of working utilising a good use of sales force effectiveness insights, as well as business partners to all relevant functions in the affiliate. You will be reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence.
  • Qualifications To be successful in this position you must:
  • Hold a master’s degree in business, finance, IT, statistics, or another relevant background. Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is preferable.
  • Have several years of working experience in performance management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) project management, segmentation & targeting and field force analytics – ideally experience in scoping or deploying CRM/MCE solutions within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Have plenty of experience with the management of sales and CRM data.
  • Own conceptional understanding of marketing processes and knowledge about developing commercial campaigns at a conceptual level.
  • Have a data-driven mindset and/or experience in data management and analytics, including knowledge about analytical tools, frameworks, and applications.
  • About the Department Commercial Excellence is a newly established team residing within the Finance and Operations department. The purpose of the Commercial Excellence team is to drive effective commercial execution, generate customer insights and support the commercial strategy across all functions in Novo Nordisk Denmark. The Finance and Operations department is international and consists of a diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The department is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust.
