Be responsible for the upskilling of Ocean & Logistics Process organisation - enabling accelerated transformation in a global logistics leader redefining integrated container-logistics for the benefit of customers around the world.

We Offer


As our new Process & Capability Building Lead, you will join our recently formed Process Academy within Transformation Office, who is an active part of making our Integrator strategy come true. You will report to the Head of Process Academy.

You will help driving the capability development of enterprise-wide process management capabilities – starting with the immediate upskilling of our newly revamped Global Process Lead (GPL) organisation. Additionally, Maersk Leaders and GPL counterparts in the business and Tech platform teams, are also in scope, as we need to ensure to imbed a truly Operational Excellence mindset.

You will be responsible for ensuring effective design, development, execution, and oversight of business-critical, sustainable Learning & Development (L&D) solutions within the field of Process Management (Lean & Six Sigma in a digital era). Additional upskilling capabilities also include Agile Project Management, Change Management & Facilitation.

In practical terms above means you will be responsible for our newly developed “Foundational” & ‘Practitioner’ training programs ensuring it is effectively designed, developed, and executed.

Since you will join the Process academy while it is still at an early stage you have a huge opportunity to help shaping the future academy setup with both internal stakeholders and potential external 3rd training partners. This also means your key responsibilities are not carved in stone and expected to evolve over time.

Key Responsibilities


Your responsibilities will include the following, amongst others:

  • Own and drive the ‘Foundational’ & ‘Practitioner’ training programs designs, continuous improvement, and execution. This includes conducting hands-on virtual/face to face trainings within the field of Process Management (Lean & Six Sigma in a digital era with focus on Intelligent Automation and Process mining) to keep growing the muscle and ultimately habits of GPL organisation (300+ people)

  • Performing capability assessments and gap analyses within the Process community (Global Process Lead organisation as primary audience for now) and recommending solutions and initiatives to close gaps

  • Translate business requirements and objectives to ensure ‘Foundational’ and ‘Practitioner’ training program designs, development and implementation is effective and cost-conscious learning solutions are embedded to deliver business results. Identify relevant add-on or complimentary upskilling modules, as seen fit

  • Enhancing usage of self-study (i.e Skillsoft and other e-learning channels available) to ensure blended learning options for our growing process community and to promote a mastery culture.

  • Drive clear measurement and continuously monitoring progress to deliver intended results (value realization). Collect Voice of Customer (participant feedback, interviews and/or join ‘live’ coaching sessions (go to Gemba) to evaluate and enhance training program effectiveness and fit-for-purpose

  • Ensure excellent communication, teamwork, and alignment with key stakeholders at all levels in our Headquarters and globally – being a trusted training partner.

  • Keep yourself up to date on relevant L&D or process management trends and innovations, to continue to heighten the bar within our process community. Benchmarking industry best in class training approaches and models

  • As needed, drive and collaborate with learning partners (external vendors) to design and deploy learning programs and capability building initiatives

  • Support other Process Academy colleagues in constantly evolving the academy’s training portfolio hereunder help exploring right solutions within areas such as coaching and leadership training to grow Operational Excellence culture within Maersk


We are looking for


You have a high self-drive, taking ownership/accountability and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambitions to deliver outstanding results. You have a keen appetite for people development and learning - and excel in building relationships and positively influencing people around you to develop and deliver quality.

You have proven experience with the following:

  • As a minimum Lean and/or Six Sigma black belt certified or similar with minimum 6 yearsof experience driving improvements in complex, highly matrixed organisation at a global or regional scope. Making quality deliverables – on time, within budget and with clear business impact

  • Proven experience within the field of Process/Data mining, Process Modelling, Change management (i.e., Prosci ADKAR certification), Facilitation & Digitization (Intelligent Automation)

  • Learning & Development (L&D) experience meaning first-hand knowledge with design, development, implementation and/or evaluation of solutions hereunder translating concepts or ideas into tangible deliverables

  • Ability to influence without authority and deal with ambiguity. A self-starter

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, working on several initiatives concurrently

  • Ability to have constructive dialogue with internal and external stakeholders at many levels

  • Excellent written and verbal skills with people at all levels across the organisation in English

  • High cultural awareness as we deal with people and learning across the globe
