Novo Nordisk is looking for an Associate Competitive Intelligence Director to join our team and provide high-quality, data-driven monitoring and insights related to the competitive landscape and competitor strategies within Obesity.
The position
As an Associate Competitive Intelligence Director, your primary goal will be to lead the competitive intelligence generation within Obesity, ensuring high-quality monitoring and insights from competitor products, competitor pipelines, competitor R&D, and commercial strategy, to help us make informed decisions to ensure the current and future success of our portfolio of products within Obesity.
In this role, you will:
• Provide high quality and data-driven monitoring and insights related to the competitive landscape and competitor strategies within Obesity.
• Ensure strong support and challenge to Novo Nordisk's key R&D projects and commercial brands within Obesity on project, portfolio, and corporate level.
• Build and maintain a strong network internally in the organization with relevant stakeholders in Commercial Planning, Marketing, Medical Affairs, R&D and Reg. Affairs.
• Ensure further improvement of the competitive intelligence function and deliverables in Novo Nordisk and promote sharing of competitive intelligence insights and better practices.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, we imagine that you have:
• A PhD within Medicine or Life/Pharmaceutical Sciences or a master's degree with 5+ years of working experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Significant experience in professionally communicating scientific, medical and commercial information, both orally and written, to audiences at various organizational levels, including senior management and governance boards.
• Insights into most aspects for the development and marketing of drugs for Obesity, including strong science and disease understanding, understanding of design and execution of clinical trials, ability to interpret clinical data, solid understanding of regulatory processes and guidelines, good marketing understanding, and good manufacturing insight.
• Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English, written and orally.
As a person, you are a team player, good at mentoring/guiding colleagues, and you enjoy networking. You have strong analytical skills and ability to process large amounts of materials of high complexity. You can handle many assignments at the same time. You are innovative and have a strategic and flexible mindset.
About the department
The key purpose of the Obesity Strategy & Insights dept. is to provide clear and directional guidance to early pipeline and Commercial execution on what is needed for Novo Nordisk to sustain and expand leadership in obesity.Another key purpose is to ensure that commercial deliverables and insights are developed to support key R&D and Commercial project decisions. The Obesity Strategy & Insights dept. drives advanced analyses such as disease segment opportunity mapping, project portfolio analyses, disease landscaping analyses, key competitor analyses, disease segment asset explorations, peak sales analysis, and full business case analyses for individual projects. Roles in Obesity Strategy & Insights are in general very complex, dealing with a disease area – however, a very dynamic and changing market with high level of focus internal and external.
