Enter Tromsø Hotels & Apartments is looking for a Director of Sales to develop, sell, and represent our 5 hotels and 100+ apartments in downtown Tromsø. This is an exciting and challenging position in an inclusive, pleasant, and fast-paced work environment.
We are seeking a strong leader with an eye for development, quality, and details. As the Director of Sales, you will work closely with the general manager, the board, and the rest of the team at our headquarters in Tromsø. In this role, you will both work operationally with guests/customers and also work to implement and develop the sales department towards our long-term goals.

We are seeking a strong leader with an eye for development, quality, and details. As the Director of Sales, you will work closely with the general manager, the board, and the rest of the team at our headquarters in Tromsø. In this role, you will both work operationally with guests/customers and also work to implement and develop the sales department towards our long-term goals.
Job responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for handling incoming bookings, proactive sales, and upselling.
- Strategic responsibility for pricing, optimizing, and coordinating the hotel's sales in all segments.
- Develop and optimize profiles in existing and new sales channels.
- Follow up on leads and identify new customers within the corporate and leisure sectors.
- Plan and conduct customer visits to identify various needs for hotel services.
- Lead the development of a new sales department and be responsible for recruitment and staffing.
- Responsible for efficiency and achieving results in the department.
- Participate in the management team and be a strategic partner for further national growth.
We are looking for someone who:
- Likes to create something and dares to think "disruptive."
- Likes order and works in a structured manner.
- Thinks in terms of sales and excels in upselling.
- Has a good understanding of finance.
- Has a fundamental understanding of revenue management and optimization.
- Can handle, and above all, enjoys juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Is a natural leader and leads by participation.
