AGC Biologics is currently seeking an ambitious Finance Director with strong financial acumen and exceptional leadership skills for their Copenhagen site. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to drive financial performance and growth, playing a critical role in the finance department. As the Finance Director, you will be a part of the Finance Department comprising around 15 colleagues locally, and a Global Finance Network consisting of more than 60 colleagues. You will report to the VP of Finance in Copenhagen and be responsible as a people manager for the Accounting Group and the Controller Group, which consist of eight colleagues. The primary responsibilities of the team include core finance tasks such as managing Account Receivables, Account Payables, Controlling, and Reporting.

As a key influencer within the organization, you will be a member of the Extended Leadership Team for the CPH site. This cross-functional team consists of the leadership level below the Site Leadership Team, with the purpose of strengthening collaboration between departments and ensuring that we work together toward our organizational goals.

As the Finance Director, your main responsibilities will include leading and managing the team to maintain a high level of professionalism and a culture of continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for overseeing the team's daily transactions, including the inflow and outflow of invoices, monthly closing, budgeting, forecasting, and any other ad hoc analyses required by the business. You will also drive process optimizations for Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, and reporting.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and providing correct financial information to the CPH Site Head and VP of Finance for decision-making will also be an essential aspect of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality inputs to the auditor in the annual reports.

Here are the requirements for the position:

  • You should hold a master’s degree in economics and/or finance and have at least 4 years of experience as a leader at a senior finance level.
  • You should possess excellent knowledge of financial processes such as month-end closing, reporting, budgeting, and process improvements.
  • Strong leadership skills are a must, and you should know how to create a motivating and inspiring environment that promotes the development of your team.
  • As a person, you should be analytical and possess a strong financial acumen, along with an interest in driving both business and P&L performance with your main stakeholders.
  • You should be proactive and thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving complex tasks with a solution-oriented approach.
  • You should be excited to work with multiple stakeholders and be able to communicate with individuals across all levels and functions within the organization.
  • Fluent English is a requirement, and fluency in another Scandinavian language is preferred.
  • Experience working in an international matrix environment is a plus.
