Do you have extensive experience with high pressure purification of synthetic peptides from a pharmaceutical or biotech company? Do you want to help us develop the world’s best drugs? If yes, you may be our new pilot scientist. About the position
As Pilot Scientist, you will work in a 4-year-old pilot facility dedicated to purification and spray drying of synthetic peptides for pre-clinical and clinical studies. Your main activities will be to: You will be a sparring partner with development chemists to develop and transfer a robust and safe process to our pilot facility Drive the preparation and QA approval of documentation Create production plans and guide process technicians work to ensure GMP compliance and campaign plans are met You will continuously optimize the facility and the use of equipment to improve production efficiency Qualifications You hold a master- or PhD degree in chemistry, biotechnology, engineering or similar. You preferably have 2 years of experience from working with high pressure purification of peptides in a pilot or a production facility and you have technical insight to drive improvements of our existing work processes, facilities, and equipment.
On a personal level, you are a team player with a constructive attitude who takes pride in understanding and challenging science. You share knowledge with other scientists as well as technicians and you have solid communication skills. Furthermore, you are a self-starter with a structured approach to work and you have an ability to keep calm and make the right decisions in a sometimes-hectic work environment. About the department The job is within Novo Nordisk Research & Development area in Bagsværd in the department Chemistry Pilot Plant. In the department you will find 45 highly skilled colleagues. The characteristics of your coming colleagues are their “can-do” attitude that constantly challenge themselves to develop and upscale robust chemical processes.
