Are you ready to take up the challenge of heading up an ambitious software development unit, where you will address key business challenges in Novo Nordisk?  
The position
As Vice President of Digital Accelerator (DA), you will be part of the Digital Incubator & Innovation leadership team, responsible for greenfield software engineering across Novo Nordisk.
You will be leading four dedicated DA areas responsible for designing, developing, and operating digital applications in collaboration with the business i.e., Research & Early Development, Development, Product Supply and Commercial.
Your focus will be on partnering with the business to identify new opportunities for software development enabling their digital aspirations, ensuring the long-term strategic competence needs of the area, and executing on the strategy for the Digital Accelerator as new business needs emerge. In your role as Vice President of Digital Accelerator, your key responsibilities will include:
• Close collaboration with senior stakeholders to enable and realise digital aspirations
• Business development and partnership with Line of Business to identify software build opportunities and mature digital operating models
• Digital application development and operations (DevOps)
• Professionalise software engineering practices and delivery models to become a best-in-class software factory
• People strategy to attract, develop, and retain the best digital talents (designers, tech leads and software developers) incl. make/buy considerations
• Being part of the DII leadership team, driving cross-organisational initiatives that inspire and anchor digital opportunities across Novo Nordisk
Qualifications
• We expect you to ideally hold a master’s degree within MSc. or equivalent in a relevant field e.g., Business, Engineering or Computer Science.
• You have 8+ years of leadership experience from similar roles
• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical business
• Proven track record of building digital product organisations
• Solid experience with organisational strategy development and execution, preferably within digital innovation or software development domain
• Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to understand complex business challenges and communicate the value from digital
• Solid experience in leading a transformation through personal advocacy, engagement, and leadership

About the department
You will join the Digital Accelerator, a unit in in Digital Data & IT acting as a trusted advisor and partner on software development ventures helping business areas realise digital aspirations. Novo Nordisk continues to invest in digital products to enable the business to reach its strategic objectives. We, in the Digital Accelerator, are partnering with the business to bring digital innovation ideas to life and mature our ways of working within digital products.
