Data Governance Architect We are looking for an engaged Data Governance Architect for the Global Data Office to support the rollout of data governance across all of Novo Nordisk. We are looking for an experienced data governance profile, with a good methodical background in Data Architecture, Data Management, or a related field. You understand end-to-end of data flows and processes in a global enterprise context and its impact on business performance. The holder of this position is ready to partake on an ambitious journey where the aim is to leverage true business potential through better data quality and availability of relevant data (FAIR). Your main responsibility will be to implement Data Governance in and across our data capabilities and platforms in close Provide technical support and architectural leadership in the development and continual improvement of Data Governance services and capabilities Enforce data governance and recommend ways to strengthen FAIR principles across Novo Nordisk. Engage and collaborate with capability architects from other Data Management disciplines Assist the continuous improvement of the Data Governance framework Plan, design, monitor, optimize and implement ways to improve Data Governance services and capabilities Coordinate across data capabilities and anchor Data Governance in our capabilities and platforms
We are situated in Bagsværd, Denmark and Bangalore, India as a global function established to facilitate and support Novo Nordisk’s digital transformation across lines of business. Qualifications As a professional, you hold a M.Sc. degree within a relevant field and need to have a broad understanding of data management disciplines. Furthermore, we would like you to have: Architect implementation of the data governance agenda together with data capability architects, product owners and data governance leads Prior hands-on implementation experience with Data Governance – ideally as Lead Data Governance Architect or similar role will be prioritized Strong written and verbal English communication skills Experience in various aspects of data management across a large matrix organisation is beneficial Prior experience with Industry 4.0, ALCOA+ and FAIR is an advantage Prior experience from Pharma/Life Science is an advantage We also imagine that you have the ability to apply independent judgment to solve and summarize complex problems and provide recommendations to Product Owners, the Head of Data Capabilities and the Head of Data Governance. We would like our next joiner to have excellent communication and coordination skills, to be able to delegate and being well structured and organised. As a person, you are self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and have a flexible personality with the ability to juggle multiple, constantly changing priorities. You can work independently and motivate well in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment. About the department Global Data Office is one of the newer departments in Novo Nordisk. Created to support the intelligent, creative use of vast amounts of connected data can generate new kinds of value, new levels of patient-centricity, and much faster reactions to changing circumstances and new know-how. Focusing on data value also enables us to use our hard-won know-how and resources to do a whole lot more, a whole lot more effectively – and to do it quicker and easier. That will mean all our jobs become easier, as well as more satisfying. Global Data Office designs and builds the new mindsets, governance frameworks, data enablement procedures and training programmes needed to implement these breakthrough opportunities throughout our organisation.
