About the department The DD&IT Finance team is a newly established team in the Executive, Strategy & Data Office department. The team consists of 11 employees mainly working with finance partnering, controlling, reporting and financial planning tasks within our DD&IT organisation. This is done by ensuring compliance with finance standards (house in order), and that DD&IT follows and delivers towards NN’s financial cycle. Even though the team is new, it is a trusted advisor to the DD&IT mgmt. team who values their advice on how to best ensure successful linking of resources to the overall DD&IT strategy. Beyond taking the lead in driving our financial cycle, the team also follows and supports our business with the investments we make in digital, data and IT across our value chain to provide this transparency to the Digital, Data and IT Committee (DDIcom) of Novo Nordisk. The team is based in Ballerup, Denmark and Bangalore, India, but if you join this team, you will also become part of the Novo Nordisk Global Finance Community. About the position As Head of DD&IT Finance, you get a unique chance to lead a dedicated team working across the full Novo Nordisk value chain through a financial and Digital, Data and IT perspective. An area that is growing and playing a key role in Novo Nordisk ambition to harvest Digital and Data advantages. Your tasks include:
  • Financial management of the full DD&IT budget, responsible for driving deliverables towards NN financial cycle (MMR and AB/RE-processes) to +100 senior stakeholders across NN globally.
  • Lead and drive a high performing team, setting a clear direction, create followship and support with driving the processes during budget rounds and at month-end-closing
  • Optimising the processes, tools needed to create the right level of IT financial transparency and reporting to ultimately drive data transparency to enable sound decision-making
  • Successfully linking resources to strategy both within DD&IT (IT) & the Digital, Data and IT committee of Novo Nordisk (DDIcom)
  • Proactively supporting the organisation with financial advice and sparring in creating business review material for the CIO and senior stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Finance standards (house in order) – and ensure DD&IT follows and delivers towards NN’s financial cycle and ad hoc requests/demands
  • Member of Executive, Strategy and Data Office Mgmt. Team and PSQIT Finance Leadership Team
  • Align finances with Finance Directors and VPs across Corporate Finance, PS, R&ED, Development and other EVP areas.
    • The job offers frequent senior management interaction and engagement with stakeholders across the organisation, allowing you to build a strong network while driving financial activities related to Digital, Data and IT. With this exposure, you can develop into many exciting positions across Novo Nordisk. Qualifications To be considered for the position, we expect that you:
  • Bring 6-10 years of experience from relevant fulltime positions
  • Have 3-5 years of leadership experience and solid experience within IT finance
  • Hold a Master´s Degree in Finance, International Business, Economy or equivalent
  • Have experience within SAP or other major ERP systems and are comfortable with the MS Office package, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have strong stakeholder management skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Are a strong communicator with fluency in spoken and written English

You have a high level of energy, and the ability to create followship and deliver through others.
