Are you passionate about employee health and safety? Do you have substantial experience within safety risk assessments and a wish to prevent serious work accidents? Are you an experienced change management leader with strong communication skills? If so, then you might be the new Senior Safety Consultant we are looking for in Novo Nordisk Health & Safety. The position In this job, you will play an important role in improving safety performance and safety culture across Novo Nordisk globally. You will support compliance, continuous improvement, and good practice in a rapidly expanding organisation. You will work in a team of highly engaged experts and drive improvements initiatives across Novo Nordisk’s value chain, to make sure that our working environment supports safe conditions and behaviours. Some of your key activities will be:
  • Driving implementation of a new proactive safety KPI across NN globally and following up on performance
  • Driving cross-functional initiatives and training to strengthen capabilities on prevention of accidents.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to the organisation on incident investigation, root cause analysis etc.
    • You will collaborate with key stakeholders in line of business, contractors. and other partners to improve the safety culture in Novo Nordisk and our value chain. You will do this in close collaboration with other safety specialists in our unit. Furthermore, you will use your experience to support other health and safety related initiatives such as support to capacity expansion projects. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
  • Master’s degree within Safety Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within occupational safety, preferably from a large, global company and/or from the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Experience in performing incident investigations and proposing proactive countermeasures.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and documented experience on driving change management initiatives.
  • Fluency in English language, written and spoken.
    • As a person, you are structured and able to take ownership of a task from planning to execution and follow-up, but you also enjoy working in teams towards a common goal. You can communicate complex issues in a simple way, no matter if the target group is high level management or shopfloor employees. You are outgoing and build good relations with colleagues and stakeholders. About the department The job is in Novo Nordisk Health & Safety department, a unit in the global People & Organisation division, located in Bagsværd, Denmark. The department is Novo Nordisk's Centre of Excellence in the field of health and safety with around 45 dedicated colleagues. Our role is to safeguard employee safety, health, and well-being as an integrated part of how Novo Nordisk do business, by providing targeted support and easy-to-use tools and guidance.
