Do you like to work in a smaller group, oriented to deliver high quality service and be flexible to try new tasks as well as share tasks in a dynamic shipping context?
Perhaps you have gained technical skills over the years and like to work with engineering, maintenance and repairs, or you might prefer to focus on how to build and maintain a robust safety- and quality system, or even a skilled electrician that are looking into a new job opportunity. We are all set to put together a diversified team of Terminal Operators to support our daily terminal operation.
How does it work
We are looking for motivated employees that enjoy the possibility to mix administrative- and hands-on work. We are setting together a Terminal Operator’s pool with the idea that each member may contribute with his or her strength. You would share daily tasks and operational responsibilities but be using your previously gained experience to strengthen the different legs of our operation.
More about the role
Together with the Terminal Operator’s pool, you are to lead and support the day-to-day operation, to safely perform cargo handling and storage operations and to supervise the terminal technical- and safety condition. You will work in shift with shared responsibility to alter between shift leader and shift operator. Time to time you will be working in team by other times on your own.
We could list all various tasks that may be undertaken but would rather prefer to discuss these in person during interview sessions.
Not only terminal duties
Beside managing the terminal, we also operate a fleet of highly modern bunker tankers. During times when the terminal workload is reduced, or in the event of rapid response, you will be allocated to support or shipping section. It could be to support with any immediate repairs, perform administrative duties or simply to support a crew change.
Your profile
You should be passionate about work and enjoy an environment where a lot happens. Although forming part of shift with structured work processes, one day is not the same as the other. You should be flexible to work outside normal working hours as this is expected. Things may change without a moment notice and you should not be easily stressed and flexible to redirect your attention.
Your qualifications and experience
Whilst we prefer applicants with a marine background or a background relating to any of the foregoing mentioned in this ad, we would still welcome any other application as we believe in that passion and willingness to learn new things is equally important to experience. You would be surrounded by experienced team members that are willing to build new strengths in you. You need to be able to express yourself freely in speech and writing in English and one Scandinavian language and should have at least finished high school level.

Located in Gothenburg and with roots from Donsö Island, OljOla is an established company within the tanker shipping industry. The company was founded in 1978 and has ever since worked with distribution of bunkers in various forms.
We are operating a highly modern fleet bunker tankers with the mission to become a leading bunker- and terminal operator. Our mindset on operational efficiency, technical innovations as well as safety and sustainability be reflected in our performance.
Since 2020 we have been established in Port of Frederikshavn, Denmark. Through our local branch office, we have supported the supervision of the oil terminal construction process and now enter the next phase to prepare for the oil terminal commissioning. We are eager to get started and want you with us on this exciting mission.
Your employment
The position is based in Frederikshavn and is full-time as shift operator. Initially and throughout the commissioning process you will mainly work daytime but with reservations for some longer workdays.
The Terminal Operator’s pool will be filled successively as we get closer to the commissioning and operation of the terminal. Should you not be employed immediately, you may still be considered for the team but to join at a later stage.
We apply six months probationary employment. The employment is covered by insurance and occupational pensions, in accordance with standard practice.
