The position As our new colleague in the Plastic Processing team, you will be in charge of developing robust and cost-effective injection moulding processes and equipment. You take the mould through an extensive period of testing and process optimization to ensure proper functionality, resulting in the targeted output of plastic components that fulfill all specifications. The plastic components we put into production are all related to medical devices, but with very different scopes between the projects. Some components are part of early development or clinical trials supporting future treatments and will be manufactured in low volumes and complex materials, where manufacturing R&D and time to delivery is the key drivers. While we also cover the full range up to extreme high-volume devices manufactured in hundreds of millions every year putting quality and efficiency at the forefront. As we are a large group of technical experts working together, we can draw value from each person’s expertise and support professional development in many directions. The content of your role will therefore over time also depend on where you are at your best. Qualifications Perhaps you have been employed at a company producing high quality plastic parts in large volumes? Or a supplier supporting customers like Novo Nordisk with application and process development? Or maybe your background is relevant in other ways. To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
  • Hold a Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or any other relevant field.
  • Have a Scientific and systematic approach to development & problem solving.
  • Have 5-7 years of experience with Injection Moulding of Plastic Components which could include:
    • The physics of the injection moulding process (e.g. software simulation);
    • Process optimization and systematic run in of new tools.
    • Process validation for production.
    • the injection moulding cell and auxiliary equipment & robots.

  • Possess solid Stakeholder Management and collaboration skills.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
    • It would be considered as an advantage if you speak Danish but it is not a requirement. We are open in terms of the seniority of the position, so if you don’t match entirely the requirements mentioned above but already have some experienced with injection moulding, we would still like to hear from you! About the team As part of the plastic processing team, you will be part of a group of 17 technical experts in the Component Device Manufacturing Development Department in Hillerød. Together we drive manufacturing development for all new medical device components in Plastic covering tool development, process development, process monitoring, Injection moulding machines, moulding robots and plastic raw material specifications.
