The position As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a mechanical design engineering team where questions from internal and external customers are answered by using technical skills, thoroughly investigations and creativity to find solutions. Some of your key focus areas include:
  • Updating 2D and 3D drawings using CAD programs
  • Being responsible for documentation and maintenance of medical devices already in the market.
  • Using calculations, laboratories investigations, and other data to answer questions about our devices.
  • Acting as a “go-to” persons regarding our technical product functionality.
  • Making changes in the design of our marketed products to improve the quality, reduce our footprint, scrap reduction, or even drive greater efficiency on the production line.

Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
  • Hold a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or any other relevant field.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, obtained within a highly regulated industry (medical devices, automotive, aerospace for example) and a good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Have experience with driving technical investigations from internal and external customers.
  • Be familiar with 2D and/or 3D modelling programs, MS Office and find it easy to master IT systems and implement digital solutions.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
    • It would be considered as an advantage if you have knowledge in polymer materials and moulding and/or small precision machined metal parts and surface plating. As a person you are structured, systematic, good at keeping overviews and get things done. You are the go-to person with a can-do attitude, performing well in a team but also enjoying independent work. People describe you as a curious, engaged, motivated, open-minded person who enjoy working with senior engineers and sharing knowledge. You know how to use sparring as the tool to good collaboration and technical problem solving. You are flexible as the tasks are varied, and the priority of projects and tasks may change. You are looking forward to a position where your work has a high impact on the device products that reach the patients. About the department You will join a team of 8 dedicated and highly competent colleagues who are responsible for Novo Nordisk portfolio of durable injection devices. We make sure that the durable pens can be produced in high volume with a high quality. We own the device design output documentation of the marketed products and support numerous projects related to manufacturing problems, training, technical customer compliant investigations, SOP compliance, standardisations.
