The position
As Senior Manager for Quality Support, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of highly dedicated and competent employees. The Quality Support team consists of 15 Quality Engineers and is characterized by diversity in nationality, gender, and seniority. The team handles customer complaints and deviations for all Novo Nordisk prefilled and durable devices. The main purpose of the team is to safeguard patient safety and improve product quality by ensuring a high-quality root cause investigation and the right corrective actions. You will be working within medical devices and covers several different technologies more specifically within advanced plastic injection moulding, metal components, electronics, and assembly.
The team facilitates systematic problem solving and handle deviations in collaboration with dedicated colleagues from Quality Assurance (QA), Process Experts, Device Manufacturing Development, and R&D, across a truly global organisation. They review and challenge root cause investigation and drive a continuous development of this competence in-house and at our outsourcing partners. You will be collaborating closely with key stakeholders across the entire device value chain.
You will balance your resources between maintenance of daily operations, project implementation, and continuous improvement of your systems. Your leadership supports a LEAN culture where continuous improvement is a natural part of everyday work. It will be important for you to maintain the global overview of ongoing performance in your area through close stakeholder interface and the usage of Key Performance Indicators.
As part of the management group in Moulding & Quality Support, you will be responsible for aligning common goals and strategies, and then implement them in your area. You will also need to have a high degree of readiness for change and adaptability, as new priorities can arise from day to day. You will play an active role in setting direction for the area and in contributing to cross team initiatives and projects. You will report to the Director of Moulding Equipment & Quality Support.
Our suppliers are in Europe, China, USA and Brazil. You can expect approximately 10-15 travel days a year to both local and global sites. Qualifications To succeed in this position: You hold a master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, or a related discipline You have a strong quality mindset Experience with people management Knowledge of Novo Nordisk’s organisation and product portfolio, as well as quality and/or production processes from previous jobs is an advantage Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English As a person, you are good at being calm in critical situations, and able to communicate in a clear and professional manner to all levels and across cultures. You thrive in a dynamic environment with many simultaneous tasks and upcoming priorities, and always meet strict deadlines and business targets. You have a strong LEAN mind-set, and the ability to facilitate problem solving and to find the right root causes. Additionally, you are well organised, and you approach challenges in a logical manner. Lastly, you have strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to network, build trust in your relationships and get commitment form internal and external stakeholders. About the department
Device Manufacturing & Sourcing is in beautiful surroundings in Hillerød. The department Moulding & Quality Support consists of 90 dedicated engineers and professionals. The department is responsible for maintaining our fleet of moulding-, decoration- and robot equipment, and installing new capacity supporting Novo Nordisk’s global production of prefilled and durable medical pen systems and at the same time responsible for handling defect investigations originating from global suppliers.
