The Position As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a leading role in the development of a medical device project throughout all stages of the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include ensuring transparency in decision-making and fostering involvement across DDS functional areas. The assigned role carries a technical mandate, allowing you to decide on technical issues as long as they do not impact Scope, Time, and Budget for business-related decisions, collaboration and alignment with the assigned project manager are necessary. Ensuring a fair representation of all areas during development across DDS is a key element. Other main responsibilities include:
  • Being accountable for the technical performance of the system and/or subsystem/module as defined for a specific project.
  • Ensuring consistency within design input, design output, design verification, and design validation.
  • Ensuring accurate verification and validation of requirements, including proper specifications for manufacturing (such as drawings, material specifications, component specifications, etc.).
  • Collaborating with the project manager to drive the project.
  • Holding technical accountability to find the right solution and working with team dynamics to provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to make decisions and facilitate progress, ensuring alignment both within and outside our organization and involving all relevant stakeholders in trade-offs .
  • In addition to the above, we are looking for someone who can celebrate successes along the way and drive the project in close collaboration with the project manager. You will work in close collaboration with project managers, e.g. regulatory affairs, risk managers, mechanical engineers, software and hardware engineers, development manufacturing, UX, and graphical designers, and you will play an important role in connecting these stakeholders across professional areas of expertise. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
  • Hold a bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering and possess at least 5+ years of similar experience.
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Have previous work experience in project management within medical device development or another regulated industry.
  • Are familiar with design control processes.
  • Have successfully taken a product from concept to product launch.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in requirements tools (e.g., Modern Requirements) and have managed the complexity of multiple platforms and variants through Product Line Engineering, Configuration Management, and/or Variability Modeling.
  • As an individual, you are analytical, structured, and demonstrate attention to detail while maintaining an overview of the system you are engineering. You thrive in dynamic and changing environments, fearlessly voice your opinions, and challenge the status quo in our processes. Recognized as a strong team player, you possess excellent interpersonal skills. You bring a 'can-do' spirit, a healthy dose of common sense, and a good sense of humor to your work. About the Department The Systems Engineering department consists of highly skilled and motivated professionals and specialists who take pride in being the experts driving system design, from early development through product commercialization. We are part of Novo Nordisk Device Delivery Solutions, which is the organization responsible for the development of device solutions for medical self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. In our department, we have a wide range of development projects in different development phases and you will join a team of 13 contributing to projects related to pens and auto-injectors. Our main aim is to further advance our offerings to people living with chronic diseases and their healthcare professionals through new technologies.
