The position As Analytical Chemist you will work closely with other chemists, laboratory technicians and project managers in the department to secure timely implementation of new analytical methods and new equipment. Your primary tasks will include:
  • Validation/verification of Physical, physicochemical, chemical methods (potentiometric titration, Karl Fischer water determination, pH, gravimetric analyses, viscosity, density, subvisible particles) or spectroscopic methods (NIR and chemometrics, Raman, FT-IR, Particle size distribution by laser light diffraction etc.)
  • Project lead on timely implementation of pharmacopoeia changes
  • Qualification and implementation of new equipment and new analytical techniques to support the upgrade of the QC laboratory
  • Transfer of methods to other [xxxxx] sites
  • QC support to deviations, out-of-specification results, and laboratory investigations
    • As part of our department, you will also be involved in the diverse assignments we deliver to other parts of Novo Nordisk. This will give you a variety of challenges, and therefore strong collaboration with your colleagues is essential. Depending on your interest the job can develop in different directions over time. Qualifications To be successful in this role we imagine you have:
  • At least a Master´s Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or another relevant field within the natural science
  • Practical and theoretical background within analytical chemistry (either in spectroscopy or chemistry)
  • A high GMP and compliance mindset
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English

About the department You will join Material Manufacturing Development – Analytical Development in Sourcing Operations. We consist of 50 employees (skilled and dedicated chemists, laboratory technicians and project managers), located in Hillerød. We are responsible for development and implementation of complex materials (raw materials, excipients, Primary Packaging materials etc.) from development to production at all [xxxxx] sites. We cooperate with a variety of functions, including development, Warehouses, Quality Control and Quality Assurance as well as [xxxxx] sites all over the world.
