Do you want to use your managerial skills to lead a team of highly professional colleagues? Then you could be the new Associate Manager for one of the two chromatographic teams in Product Supply API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) in Kalundborg. The position As an Associate Manager, you will lead a team of 15 skilled Scientists and Laboratory Technicians. The team consists of dedicated scientists and laboratory technicians, who are responsible for chromatographic method development and support, transfer of robust methods to Quality Control and critical support to the production. Your key responsibilities are:
  • prioritizing the tasks in the team, ensuring optimal allocation of resources
  • making sure that the team has the best possible conditions to succeed with the tasks they have at hand.
  • focus on continuous improvements, automation and digitalization of processes and systems.
  • Moreover, you are expected to set a good example and lead the way to ensure that your employees obtain the right behaviour and achieve the targets via ensuring both team and department development. To succeed, you focus on creating a work environment that fosters job enthusiasm, and you match the requests and capabilities of your team. Finally, you seek to establish good collaboration with your stakeholders within PS API and outside. Qualifications To succeed in this position, you:
  • have a background in Natural Sciences
  • have managerial experience within a pharmaceutical/manufacturing company
  • have knowledge and understanding of GMP, Quality, and LEAN
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with chromatographic analyses and or a solid understanding and interest in automation As a leader, you have a keen eye for optimizing processes as well as improving your team’s working conditions. You must thrive in a changing environment and know how to motivate your employees during changes. You have a goal-oriented mindset and the will and skills to meet ambitious targets. Moreover, you have strong communication skills, a positive attitude as well as and inspiring and engaging behaviour where you show that you take an interest in your employees’ well-being. About the department The department is responsible for providing analytical support to Manufacturing Developments optimization projects, as well as supporting process and analytical development for new products from fermentation to purified Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). The department consists of 75 colleagues organized in four teams with responsibility within chemical, biochemical and biophysical analysis. You will lead the chromatographic team, which provides development and transfer of analytical methods to Quality Control and critical support to the production.
