We are looking for an Associate Process Engineer/Scientist for our utility support team in Insulin Manufacturing I (IM1) in Kalundborg. Are you a recently graduated engineer, biochemist, or similar with a can-do attitude and great problem-solving skills? You have an amazing opportunity to join a newly established team and have a chance to work with exciting tasks, supporting the world’s largest insulin API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) facility. The position As an Associate Process Engineer, you will be supporting ongoing production while assisting in the validation of new equipment, systems, and processes. You will also assist in identifying optimization opportunities and implementing them within an advanced and automated manufacturing setup. This position offers a significant opportunity to gain expertise in API purification processes and automated systems within manufacturing, spanning a complex value chain. Additionally, it is crucial to possess a mindset where you can navigate challenges, propose solutions, and find resolutions effectively. Since the job is largely self-organized, your ability to prioritize work assignments is essential.
Qualifications
To perform well in this job, we imagine that you: Hold a master's or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific areas, e.g., Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a similar field. Possess up to 2 years of relevant experience following your graduation. However, since job-specific training will be part of the onboarding process, we are open for fresh graduates and candidates with limited work experience Demonstrate comfort in utilizing tools and systems such as Excel and PowerPoint when delivering your work and presenting results. GxP and LEAN experience would be advantageous. Demonstrating effective communication proficiency in English; ability to speak/understand Danish will be an additional asset As a person, we are looking for a candidate who takes full ownership of our tasks and completes your work within the given timeframe. To be successful in this role you should have a natural curiosity for finding out solutions, as well as the ability to collaborate efficiently throughout the organization.

IM1 (Insulin API Manufacturing I) is the world’s largest insulin API facility and is one of the largest production sites in Novo Nordisk. Our department Utility & Solvents consists of 75 employees who handle supplies of raw materials and solvents for production. The department is organized into several teams including a support team whose main responsibility is the various process and utility plants that supply the 4 production lines of the factory.
