Then you could become part of the next wave of scientific discovery by joining Digital Science & Innovation (DSI).The PositionYou will be the Senior Scientific Application Specialist for commercial and in-house developed software products that are used across many modalities (e.g. proteins, peptides, RNAi, stem cells) and disease areas (e.g. diabetes, obesity, NASH, and sickle cell). The software products in scope include our scientific dashboard, electronic laboratory notebook, molecule registration systems, assay data management system, instrument raw data handling and inventory management systems.Your key areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Go-to person for specific scientific applications
• Establishing close collaborations with research areas to identify and translate research needs into dashboard solutions
• Develop new applications or make enhancements or execute software configuration tasks according to research project requirements
• Collaborate with R&ED IT to ensure existing systems are meeting stability, performance, and capacity requirements
• Drive continuous improvement including planning and execution of bug fixes, trouble shooting and collaborating with 3rd party vendors on diagnosing and fixing issues
• Develop/improve processes, SOP’s and best practices to support applications and scientists needs
• Responsible for supporting scientists in the optimal use of the scientific software
• Responsible for beta testing and communication of operational status to end usersQualificationsTo succeed in this role, you have:
• 5 years of experience in life science applications with a Master degree or PhD in natural sciences or engineering
• Experience with configuring scientific dashboards
• Robust data literacy skills
• Prior experience in software and database development
• Experience working on projects in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication skills for partnering with scientific and technical stakeholders
• Genuine interest and passion to understand scienceAbout the departmentYou will be part of the Data Management & Informatics (DMI) department, where we are responsible for providing scientific data and software products to support the global research and early development organisation at Novo Nordisk.
