About the position You will be an important part of a key agenda in Novo Nordisk: Digitalization and Automatization. By networking across the laboratories, you will find and share best practices on how to optimize their processes. You will be a sparring partner for the laboratories and bridge them with Digital Science & Innovation (DSI) to find new solutions on how to automate and digitalize their workflow.
An important aspect of this position is the close collaboration with the lab scientists and technicians on a global scale and how you and the team can support so that they spend more time on research and less on IT. Besides, you will have the opportunity to participate in all phases of software roll out, such as kick-off sessions and end-user training.
Key areas of responsibility: • Analyze tools and solutions for the laboratories securing optimal operations of their lab IT systems among all research sites
• Drive projects and promote the implementation of new solutions
• Automate onboarding of new systems
• Act as the sparring partner for the automation and digitalization in the laboratories
• Bridge solutions from DSI that can benefit the research laboratories so they can focus on doing research
Qualifications For this position, we hope to get a candidate on board who can tick off most of the following requirements:
• A degree at minimum BA level of science in a relevant field (e.g., Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Life-Science, or Pharmacy
• Proficiency in managing projects and hands-on laboratory experience either through studies or work
• A natural interest in IT and desire to implement innovative solutions to support research laboratories
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with people across the organization, ability to instill confidence and translate users’ needs to effectively impact the organization
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and orally
• You share a natural interest and curiosity in the exciting research processes ongoing in the laboratories.
As a person you are self-driven, structured, organized, and have an analytical mindset along with a great ability to communicate across functions, levels, and cultures. You can listen as well as understand the IT and business complexities and are able to translate these into opportunities. As a proactive team player, you are happy to share experience and information with your colleagues and ensure the best solutions. In addition, you are flexible and able to function under time pressure as well as able to connect your science and IT skills with Novo Nordisk’s business requirements to identify and solve challenges.
