The Position You will lead a team, who play a key role in developing manufacturing intelligence (MI) solutions across the SVP area “Emerging Technology”, in close collaboration with the production, IT and the central tech organisation. The team currently consist of 10 dedicated and highly skilled team members and is expected to grow further in size, as we cover new production areas. The team currently consists of data scientists, data engineers and front-end developers. As our new Associate Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Lead and represent the developer team and secure alignment with key stakeholders

  • Set the direction for technical procedures and standards

  • Collaborate closely with the MI Product and Strategy team, who sets the overall direction for product development

  • Build up a strong performing team with high diversity, inclusion and motivation

  • Ensure the team develop and maintain products according to prioritisation and within compliance to requirements related to IT architecture, IT security, GDPR and GxP

  • Strengthen the collaboration with similar units in Novo Nordisk

  • Contribute actively to the overall development of the Technology Innovation department

  • This role offers the opportunity for developing value-adding and innovative MI solutions, in an agile setting where we strive towards a short development time from idea to proof-of-concept. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have:
  • A master’s degree within a relevant field, e.g., digitalisation, engineering, IT or similar

  • Experience with developing digital solutions, either as a data scientist, data engineer, front end developer, or similar

  • Experience working with agile software development methodology

  • Experience from the pharmaceutical, food or other highly regulated industry, is an advantage

  • Having a few years of experience as a people leader is an advantage, but not prerequisite

  • Fluent in English both oral and written, and speaking or understanding Danish will be considered as an advantage

  • As a person you are a team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are self-driven, proactive, curious, and resilient, with a strong flair for stakeholder management and networking. You are able to navigate effortlessly in complex environments and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders on different organisational levels. You are capable of setting a direction, motivate and cultivate high performance and engagement through the empowerment of the team. About the Department The position is anchored in the Manufacturing Tech & Innovation unit within Emerging Technologies, MDev & QC, and our key mission is to redefine our manufacturing approach by creating a fully data driven and continuous process for oral tablet formulation and optimise the manufacturing production and analysis from end to end. We aim to create a new paradigm that will alter the approach to drug development by redesigning and digitalising the processes. The department is growing, and we are currently around 32 colleagues covering manufacturing intelligence, process digitalisation, robotics & advanced automation and extended reality. We are divided into 5 teams – all expanding. With the rapid advancement within technology, we are expanding our department and bringing in new competences and skills.
