The position
As Category Manager, you will collaborate with our global external partners and together with the global teams secure that we deliver on all ambitions related to securing raw materials to Novo Nordisk manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for: Creating and developing category/sourcing strategies to securing long term supply Collaborating closely with key suppliers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and continuous improvement Managing and mitigating risks associated with sourcing and procurement activities, ensuring continuity of supply and minimal disruption Leading contract creation and negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions for the organization Driving and supporting strategic projects aimed at enhancing the overall procurement and supply chain functions You will be working with suppliers and networks both in and outside Europe, hence you should expect 10 to 20 days of travel activities per year. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you: Hold a master’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or any other relevant field Have at least 3 years of experience as Category Manager, ideally within direct categories Possess experience with Strategic Sourcing obtained within an international pharma organisation or similar Be fluent in English, both spoken and written It is an advantage if you are familiar with highly regulated industry and/or sourcing of raw materials and chemicals. As a person, you have a strategic mindset and possess a good business acumen as well as strong analytical skills. You have the ability to deal with complexity. You have strong stakeholder management skills, a proactive attitude, and self-driven approach that make you a great contributor to any team. Last but not least, you are experienced in interacting with senior management stakeholders and are a good team player, understanding that effective communication skills are essential for achieving success. Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in ’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place that can support ’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international supplier networks, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronical diseases. Joining our team, you will be surrounded by several experienced Category Managers, allowing you to continue your development within the sourcing domain. In Strategic Sourcing, we invest significant resources in developing our employees through coaching, frequent feedback, formal training and by giving challenging responsibilities.
