You will be joining a global CDMO company in rapid growth. Our HQ is located in Seattle, US – but the largest site where you will be located is in Søborg near Copenhagen. We are approximately 2.500 colleague’s worldwide, around 900 in Søborg. We are a multicultural company with more than 40 different nationalities on site.

THE JOB:

The Procurement Specialist, Indirect Procurement is part of [xxxxx]’ dynamic Supply Chain team in Copenhagen and is a key contributor to Purchasing’s strategic goals. This position is responsible for working with cross-functional partners throughout the company to support and deliver the best value in product selection, performance, quality, service and pricing. Our new college will report to the Procurement Manager / Head of Indirect Procurement.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead procurement activities for the Indirect Procurement area, including services, products and CAPEX equipment, for our current and new facility in Copenhagen
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal quality, cost and delivery
  • Serve as focal point / partner with internal stakeholders to define business needs and align on projects planning and execution
  • Ensure sourcing, negotiation and contract management for goods and services
  • Achieve optimal total cost of ownership while mitigating supplier risk and project deadlines
  • Achieve cost savings goals through bidding and negotiations
  • Support purchase orders handling within the Indirect Procurement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to establish successful cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to communicate in a professional, efficient manner at all levels of the company
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and time constraints
  • Understanding of total cost of ownership, lead-time and risks associated with the procurement activities
  • Solid knowledge of procurement concepts, global supply chain processes, activities and trends
  • Good negotiation skills with both large and small suppliers globally
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Advanced oral and written communications skills in English and Danish

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA degree in related field required (i.e. Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering)
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years working experience in Procurement in mid-to-large multinational companies (life sciences, medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred)
  • Experience supporting RFP/RFQ, supplier selection, project execution, cost and timing management and project close activities
  • Experience in using ERP systems in a cGMP environment (experience with Axapta/Dynamics 365 preferred)
  • Experience in the creation, negotiation and administration of contracts
