We are looking for an experienced technician with strong skills in organic chemistry methods and a natural laboratory drive. Your main task will be to develop and optimize procedures for synthesis of small molecule API, starting materials, and building blocks in close collaboration with other colleagues. By joining Chemical Development as a Principal Technician, you will make your mark on turning this into a success while boosting the in-house chemistry competencies.
Securing robust, efficient, and scalable methods for API process protocols
Chemical Development is an area consisting of around 30 dedicated scientists and technicians divided in three teams. You will be placed in the Process Research & Development team, which is responsible for route scouting, process development and optimization from early stage to phase III, in strong collaboration with the manufacturing team and others.
As a Principal Technician in this team, your responsibilities will cover:

Extensive pharma industry experience with synthesis and optimization

- Identification and optimization of synthetic steps and routes suitable for large scale manufacturing of API
- Scale-up activities and synthesis of smaller batches of API for pre-clinical trials
- Secure that important know-how is shared with colleagues in the manufacturing team
- Laboratory maintenance and instrumentation super-user tasks

- Laboratory technician degree or similar with emphasis on synthesis
- At least 10-15 years of relevant experience from the pharmaceutical industry or academia working with synthesis tasks
- An open mind-set, and a willingness to support common goals
- A personal drive as well as a team player attitude
- Good communication skills in English and Danish
