Do you have solid fundamentals in Quality? Are you motivated by development and optimization within your area of expertise? Do you want to have a major influence on an entire organization’s compliance and performance? Then you may be exactly who we are looking for as our new Director of Global Quality. The position is reporting directly to the SVP Quality and Technology and will ensure that Baettr as group, sites, departments as well as individuals comply with relevant standards and that continuous improvement and optimization becomes a natural DNA of the organization.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a person who can ensure that we live up to customer requirements during item introductions, qualifications and running production. A Director who continuously strives to develop the performance of the organization, where quality is developed hand in hand with lowering cost – all this while complying with our value-driven behavior and leadership program. You will have a broad stakeholder landscape to navigate within and have a major influence on the entire organization’s compliance and performance. You will have direct responsibility for a Global Quality team currently numbering 6 employees and your base will be in Lem, Denmark and travelling globally is not a problem for you.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
You are experienced with management systems, management reviews, audits, and certifications within one or more standards. You are familiar with the production part approval process (PPAP) and/or APQP4Wind. You have strong commercial understanding and experience ebabling you to map the cost of poor quality, as well as reduce cost of the same. Your commercial skills also ensure that collaboration with customers and suppliers is not jeopardized. A strong technical understanding gives you the ability to bring technical colleagues on board regarding quality and together with your team and colleagues, you are able establish and maintain a solid culture driving quality.
Personal qualities
As a person you thrive on proactively taking ownership not only in normal operations, but also when it becomes business critical. You have a high systematic and analytic understanding, and a desire for continuous improvement. You are a team player with great management and leadership abilities and act as a role model in setting high standards.
Education/Experience
You have an academic education and a minimum of 5 years’ experience and you feel now that you are ready to take the next step in your career. You hold a Six Sigma Green Belt or higher level within quality and are used to driving projects and project portfolios. You are used to a KPI driven approach with challenging targets.
Within the first 1-3 months you will:
Get well introduced to the Baettr organization and culture. Gain a solid understanding of our products, processes, and our customers’ expectations and are able to evaluate our current setup and either confirm priorities or identify areas for optimization adjustment
After the first 3 months you will:
• Continue to develop Baettr towards excellence within quality. Lead overall analysis and root cause identification, as well as ensure implementation of corrective and preventive measures. Ensure a culture striving for first time right. Identify and drive cost of poor quality to a low level. In cooperation with Sourcing and Technology you ensure supplier management and development is taken to the next level. You have planned and can ensure that the Baettr Management System is value adding
