Then read more as this could be a perfect opportunity for you! Come join us and help build our new phase 1 unit CLINiC (Clinical Innovation Centre). The position As a Medical Equipment Lead you will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment in CLINiC, such as ECG, Vital Signs, Height and Weight Scales and Alcometers, are properly working, qualified, calibrated and maintained. You will work closely with the operational teams in CLINiC, as well as colleagues from Novo Nordisk’s Digital and Quality functions, as well as vendors. You will report into Roland Foster, Head of Digitalisation & Quality. CLINiC has an extensive amount of state-of-the-art (medical) systems and devices, both to collect study data as well as to monitor and manage the infrastructure. You will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and equipment & system owners in CLINiC to ensure that their equipment needs are met. Furthermore, you will ensure that equipment is purchased, available for use, maintained and in compliance with applicable requirements. You will work closely with the Digital teams, with CLINiC IT systems and with vendors to optimize maintenance and qualification procedures. Among your daily tasks, you will: Maintain a register of all equipment, its maintenance and qualification status Qualify, register and release new equipment Conduct market evaluation for new state-of-the-art equipment Ensure timely maintenance, calibration, repair and (if needed) retirement of existing equipment Respond to equipment-related support requests from users Trouble shooting and ensure handling of equipment that is malfunctioning Be the point of contact for equipment vendors and/or service engineers In addition, you will be responsible for training and the creation of training materials for the users and ensuring that equipment status is clearly communicated to users. In collaboration with users and SME’s, you will assess innovations and new developments in the markets of relevant (medical) equipment. Qualifications You have an educational background in life science or engineering (e.g., materials, mechanical, biomedical) or equivalent work experience. To be successful in this position, you have: Experience in working within a regulated (GxP) environment preferably as a Medical Engineer, but not required Familiarity with the concepts of validation/qualification Affinity with technology and technological products Technical “hands on” skills within medical equipment Motivation to solve technical problems and perform root cause analysis Strong communication skills in written and spoken English As a person, you have a strong sense of detail, a quality mindset, and the ability to navigate complexity, provide direction and assess compliance. You thrive in a changing and dynamic working environment and have a can-do attitude with the ability to prioritize, execute and follow up in a proactive and timely manner. You are a team player and a strong collaborator across the organization. About the department You will become part of our CLINiC Digitalisation and Quality department located in Gentofte, Denmark. The CLINiC is currently under development and will be responsible for conducting multiple clinical trials, ultimately conducting First Human Dose trials. The CLINiC works closely with various partners within Novo Nordisk as well as externally across the Danish life science ecosystem. The CLINiC is part of Global Translation, where we drive all clinical development of medical drug candidates from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. Historically, all Novo Nordisk phase 1 trials have been outsourced to Clinical Research Organisations. Looking into the future with Novo Nordisk entering new treatment areas, there are increased requirements for agility and early decision-making and a need to complement the current set-up with new options for early phase and exploratory development.
