As Project Director you will be responsible for overseeing and setting the strategic direction for infrastructure projects with a combined spend in excess of 1+ bDKK and is of high business impact. The infrastructure projects cut across PS API (Product Supply, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) with collaboration across and outside Novo Nordisk and is part of the larger approx. 18 bDKK API project portfolio – covering both large investment projects and infrastructure projects. Hence, as project director for infrastructure projects you will be an integral part of one of the largest construction and API-production sites in Denmark.
You will be setting your team and driving a department of professional senior project managers who are accountable for the planning, delivery and realization of the business benefits for infrastructure projects across PS API. This includes both direct and indirect involvement in project initiation, gate deliverables, risk management, communication, senior stakeholder management, people management, and ensuring that the project is executed based on relevant project methodology and in accordance with project controls.
You will have an opportunity to:
• Establish your team and lead senior project managers to execute infrastructure projects
• Drive project execution through direct or indirect project management
• Ensure project portfolio governance of the infrastructure projects in PS API
• Work closely with CVP and SVP-level stakeholders in delivering large infrastructure projects
• Ensure compliance with NN project management methods, including the Quality Management System and PS Environmental, Health and Safety Management system

To succeed in this role, we imagine that your experiences and competencies include:• Several years of international project management experience with large-scale capacity projects, preferably within construction or similar positions
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, fluency in English and experience in collaborating with stakeholders on all levels
• Leadership experience
• Experience in project portfolio governance and management
• A master’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Environment, Project Management or equivalentOn a personal level, you are highly independent and can proactively define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with project owners. You add value to every aspect of project execution by delivering professional insights and shaping approaches and methods. You consider alternative project strategies, drive project decision making, and are consistently on top of the situation and project progress. Additionally, you possess the ability to manage change in dynamic project environment, lead and engage skilled technical professionals, coach project team members and owners, and collaborate across boundaries while building lasting relationships through stakeholder management and strong communication skills.About the department
The position is placed in API Business Support area at production site in Kalundborg which is part of our global production division: Product Supply – counting close to 14.000 employees worldwide. The team is newly established and currently consists of several highly engaged employees. The API Business Support area consists of about 160 highly qualified employees with a multitude of professional backgrounds, all with the common purpose of supporting our production the best way possible.
