The role and its responsibilities Our digital transformation is a high priority, and the journey is to stay on top of everything digital in Novo Nordisk. It’s a global journey with 2100+ colleagues worldwide, driving tasks with a twist of Digital, Data, and IT. As a Scrum Master, you are invited onboard into our agile journey, as part of Digital, Data & IT, Research & Early Development (DD&IT R&ED). You will be the role model for agile practice and behaviour. We expect you to create a culture of trust and psychological safety, and to inspire and foster leadership in others. Furthermore, you will help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics with continuous flow and focus on the outcome instead of output. The main job tasks in the position are:
  • Facilitating agile ceremonies for the agile team, continuously improving the agile ways of working
  • Leading and influencing the agile transformation inside the agile team and across R&ED IT
  • Onboarding and coaching individual team members in the agile roles and ways of working
  • Inspiring the team to continuously improve on products and processes, by ensuring constructive and positive team dynamics aligned with agile principles
  • Helping the team track their progress and enable transparency of tasks (Azure DevOps)

The skills we hope to see The ideal candidate will have previous experience with the following skills & experiences:
  • A degree at minimum BA level of science in IT or another relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience with IT projects including project management or Scrum Master role
  • Experience with coaching/engaging high-performing agile teams and a good comprehension of IT
  • Potentially, you have worked on projects within the pharma industry or with operational technology for manufacturing
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • On a personal level you have assertive and positive personality along with expertise within agile ways of working. You are motivated by challenging assignments and to become an essential part of a journey of digitalization and automation, supported by a People Leader of Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, Product Owners, etc. You have a structured way of working and a general overview which enables you to handle several tasks simultaneously while keeping an ongoing focus on results. In addition, you are ambitious about your assignments, interested in growing your skills and able to work independently in a cross-cultural environment. Join the Agile journey in DD&IT Research & Early Development (DD&IT-RED) DD&IT is organized in agile teams together with our business partners. This close collaboration, with both solid IT implementation experience and an expert understanding of the pharma research business, enables us to support digital transformation and innovation in all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain – from idea to patient. We facilitate and lead IT deliveries and incrementally improve delivery excellence through agile ways of working. The position as Scrum Master will be a part of agile teams in DD&IT-RED. The agile teams have highly skilled and dedicated employees, who support the R&ED strategies by driving key IT initiatives.
